IMPORTANT INFORMATION
1. Alcohol and cigarettes are obviously not permitted.
2. As in all tourist centres, pickpockets will be around. You are at your most vulnerable when you are in a
crowd or admiring the view. Keep your cash and other valuables safe.
3. Be aware of extremely busy Italian roads.
4. Stay together in at least groups of four. Never wander off on your own.
5. Balance the spending of your money over the trip. Remember that you may have to buy food on the
journey to and from resort.
6. The weather is likely to be good (hopefully) and so you will need suncream. However, the weather can
be changeable, especially around the volcano, so you must make sure that you have warm and
waterproof clothing, sensible footwear, hat and gloves.
7. Passports and medical cards will be looked after by the staff & will be returned at the end of the trip.
8. The coach & rooms in the hotel must be treated with respect. A charge will be made by the hotel for
any damage caused. This will be paid by the individuals responsible.
9. Note that insurance does not cover loss, theft or damage to mobile phones. For full details please see

Baggage policy. Each passenger is entitled to carry ONE PIECE OF LUGGAGE (upto 20 kg). Excess weight fees
will be payable at the airport if the total weight exceeds 20 kg. THIS IS THE STUDENTS RESPONSIBILITY. Also
note that this will not be accessible for the whole of the journey from school to hotel in resort.
Baggage allowance. Each passenger may take one standard piece of hand baggage, dimensions 56x45x25cm.
This should contain all things needed for the journey.
Security guidance: wherever possible, all liquids should be placed in checked baggage to go in the hold of the
aircraft. For liquids carried in hand baggage, restrictions on the quantity permitted are in place. Passengers may
carry small quantities of liquids within separate containers, each of which should not exceed 100ml in capacity.
These containers must be placed within a single, transparent, re-sealable plastic bag, which itself must not
exceed 1 litre in capacity (approximately 20cm x 20cm). The contents of the plastic bag must fit comfortably and
the bag sealed. Only ONE transparent bag of liquids is permitted per passenger, and must be presented for
examination at the airport search area. 'Liquids' includes: All drinks, including water, soup, syrups; Creams,
lotions, oils, etc ; Sprays and pressurized containers including spray deodorants; Pastes, including toothpastes;
Gels, including hair and shower gel; Any other solutions and items of similar consistency. Liquid items larger
than 100ml must be packed within your hold luggage and checked in to the aircraft hold.
