Visando estudar as anomalias dentárias presentes

tratamento adequado.
ABSTRACT
The cleft lip-palate are congenital malformations that cause in bearers severe aesthetic compromising and
functional disturbances from the feeding to the phonetics. Seeking to identify the dental anomalies of number,
shape, size, development and eruption that are frequently evidenced in those patient, the review of pertinent
literature was accomplished to the subject. It was observed that those dental anomalies are more significantly
frequent in patient bearers of fissures lip-palate than in the population in general, and, according to several
authors, it happens with larger incidence in the permanent teething, in the area of the fissure. Therefore, the
maxillary lateral incisor is the dental element more susceptible to offenses, and it presents larger anodontia
incidence. It is necessary to settles down a precocious diagnosis of these anomalies to minimize the deleterious
effects in the harmonious development of the dental occlusion and of the aesthetics, through clinical conduct and
suitable ortodontic.
