EINLEITUNG
Diese Anleitung zeigt Ihnen den Anbau der Auto-Contour Ausrüstung an die CATERPILLAR-Mähdrescher
LEXION 450, LEXION 460, LEXION 465, LEXION 470, LEXION 475, LEXION 480, LEXION 485 und am
Schneidwerk 5,40 - 9,00 m.

Der Lieferumfang ist auf Seite 4 und 21 aufgeführt.

Jedes Anbauteil ist mit einer Nummer versehen, die Spezifikation der Teile, z. B. bei Schrauben, entnehmen Sie
bitte der Auflistung »Lieferumfang«.

In dieser Auflistung sind die Abmessungen und die Anzahl der Schrauben sowie die zugehörigen Teile, wie
Muttern und Contact-Scheiben, aufgeführt.

Texte und Bilder sind nach Möglichkeit neutral gehalten. Auf Unterschiede zwischen den einzelnen Typen wird
durch Texthinweise aufmerksam gemacht.

INTRODUCTION
These fitting instructions show the installation of the Auto-Contour equipment to the CATERPILLAR Combines
LEXION 450, LEXION 460, LEXION 465, LEXION 470, LEXION 475, LEXION 480 LEXION 485 and to the
headers 18 ft - 30 ft.

The shipping package is shown on page 4 and 21.

Each part has a number. The part specification e.g. for bolts is also stated in the shipping package.

The list gives the dimensions and the quantity of the bolts as well as the parts belonging to it, like nuts and
Contact washers.

Text and pictures apply, in general to all the machine types covered by this book and the information given
applies equally, except where reference is made to a particular model in captions to the pictures or in the main
text.

Auto-Contour maschinenseitig anbauen

Motor stillsetzen und Batterie-

Trennschalter ausschalten!

Auf der linken Seite erst die Universalkupplung (U)

abschrauben, dann die Schutzverkleidung (S)
abnehmen.

Fangstücke (F) auf der linken und rechten Seite

abschrauben und aus der Führung entnehmen.

Hydraulikzylinder (1) auf der linken und rechten Seite

in die Führung einsetzen. Mit Scheiben (S) den
Hydraulikzylinder (1) am Fuß ausrichten.

Mit Sechskantschrauben (2) den Hydraulikzylinder (1)

befestigen und dabei mit Scheiben seitlich ausrichten.

Fitting the Auto-Contour equipment to the machine

Stop the engine and turn the battery

isolating switch off!

First unscrew the universal coupling (U) on the left-

hand side, then remove guard (S).

(Fig. 2)

Unscrew intercepting piece (F) on the left-hand and

right-hand side and remove from their guide.

(Fig. 3)

Insert hydraulic cylinder (1) into the guide on the left-

hand and right-hand side. Align the hydraulic cylinder
(1) at the base using washers (S).

Fasten the hydraulic cylinder (1) by means of

hexagon bolts (2) and align it laterally while doing so,
using the washers.

Haltewinkel (3) am 4/3 Wegeventil (4) mit

Sechskantschrauben (5) anschrauben.

4/3 Wegeventil (4) mit Sechskantschrauben (5) am

Einzugskanal anschrauben.

Rohrleitungen (6) und (7) in der Mitte durch den

Leitungshalter (8) zusammenstecken.

Dann die Rohrleitungen (6) und (7) von der rechten

Seite durch den Schlitz (Z) zur linken Seite
durchschieben und am Hydraulikzylinder (1)
anschrauben.

Bolt mounting bracket (3) to 4/3 way valve (4) using

hexagon bolts (5).
Bolt 4/3 way valve (4) to feeder housing using
hexagon bolts (5).

(Fig. 1 and 5)

Put tubes (6) and (7) together in the center through

the tube holder (8), then push tubes (6) and (7)
through slot (Z) from the right to the left and screw to
main hydraulic cylinder (1).

(Fig. 1, 6 and 7)

Bolt clamp (9) and rubber bedding (10) using

mushroom head bolt (11).

Zuerst Schraubmuffe (M) und Schraubstecker (S)

trennen.

Dann Rohrleitungen (12 und (13) am 4/3-Wegeventil

(4) anschrauben.

First disunite threaded fitting (M) from threaded

plug (S).

Then screw tubes (12 and 13) to 4/3 way valve (3).

Screw manifold block (14) to tubes (6), (7) and (13)

using male connectors. Screw tube (15) to manifold
block (14) and to hydraulic cylinder (1).

(Fig. 1 and 10)

Bolt bracket (16) to feeder housing using a mushroom

head bolt (17) and to manifold block (14) using a
hexagon bolt (18). Bolt down double clamp (19) with a
hexagon bolt (20) to the feeder housing.

Bolt single clamp (22) to feeder housing using a

hexagon bolt (23).

Unscrew elbow union (X) from 2/3 way valve (W).

Add hose (24) to L-type union (25), then screw to 4/3

way valve (4) and to 2/3 way valve (W).

Screw together hose (26) with elbow union (X),

conical reducer (27) and L-type union (28) and then
screw to 4/3 way valve (4) and to L-type union (L).

Screw together threaded fitting (M) and threaded

plug (S).

Den vorhandenen Kabelstecker (K) auf den

Kippschalter (29) aufstecken. Den Kippschalter (29) in
den Schacht einsetzen.

Einsatz (30) in den Kippschalter (29) von Hand

einpressen.

Fit guard (S) and refit universal coupling (U).

Unscrew plate (P) on the left-hand and right-hand

side.

(Fig. 17)

Remove the blind cover from the switch console.

Plug the existing cable plug (K) on toggle switch (29)

and insert toggle switch (29) into the free space.

Press inset (30) manually into the toggle switch (29).

Hydraulikzylinder (1) entlüften:

1. Motor starten und Sicherheitskippschalter (28)

einschalten.

Vorsatzgerät ablegen.

2. Hydrauliköl beim Entlüftungsvorgang auffangen.

Dazu möglichst einen durchsichtigen Schlauch

auf den dafür vorgersehenen Nippel an den
Verschlußschrauben (V) aufstecken. Den
23742 20 Schlauch in einen Behälter stecken, damit das
Öl aufgefangen werden kann.

3. Absperrhahn (R) öffnen, dazu den Hebel (H) auf

Pos. (A) stellen.

4. Wippenschalter (6) nach rechts betätigen bis

beide Zylinder ganz ausgefahren sind.

5. Verschlußschrauben (V) nacheinander an

beiden Fangstücken lösen.

Wippenschalter (6) nach rechts betätigen bis das

Öl blasenfrei austritt.

6. Verschlußschrauben wieder verschließen.

7. Wippenschalter (6) nach links betätigen, bis der
linke Zylinder bis zum Anschlag eingefahren ist.

8. Den Absperrhahn (R) schließen, dazu den Hebel

(H) auf Pos. (Z) stellen.

Durch die Betätigung des Wippenschalters (6)

die Zylinder mehrmals wechselseitig ein- und
ausfahren.

Bleeding the hydraulic cylinder (1):

1. Start the engine and switch on safety toggle

switch (28).

Put down front attachment.

2. Collect hydraulic oil released during bleeding.

Plug a hose (transparent type if possible) on the

nipple provided for this purpose on the screw
plugs (V). Put the hose end into a container in
order to collect the oil.

3. Move lever (H) to position (A) to open cock (R).

4. Actuate toggle switch (6) to the right until both

cylinders are fully extended.

5. Loosen screw plugs (V) from both intercepting

pieces one at a time.

Actuate toggle switch (6) to the right until oil l

eaks without creating bubbles.

6. Close screw plugs.

7. Actuate toggle switch (6) to the left until the left

cylinder has been fully retracted to its stop.

8. Move lever (H) to position (Z) to close the

cock (R).

Alternately extend and retract the cylinders

several times by actuating the toggle switch (6).

Apply the sticker (31) on the left-hand side.

Die Welle links (1) und die Welle rechts (2) mit zwei
Mitnehmern geschw. (3) und zwei Schenkelfedern (4)
in die entsprechenden Bohrungen einsetzen.

Die Mitnehmer geschw. (3) mit zwei Spannstiften

sichern.

Dabei die Spannstifte bündig einschlagen.

Die Distanzrohre (5) und (6) sowie Passscheiben

nach Bedarf zusammen mit dem Hebel (7) auf die
Welle links aufschieben.

Fitting the Auto-Contour equipment to the cutterbar

Insert the left-hand shaft (1) and the right-hand shaft

(2) into the suitable bores, using two welded catches
(3) and two springs (4).

(Fig. 25, 26 and 27)

Secure the welded catches (3) by means of two

expansion pins.

Drive home expansion pins so they are flush.

(Fig. 25 and 28)

Push the spacer tubes (5) and (6) and washers as

needed on the left-hand shaft along with the welded
lever (7).

Secure the welded lever (7) using an expansion pin.

Die beiden Führungen (8) mit zwei

Sechskantschrauben (9) anschrauben.

Die beiden Tastbügel (10) in die Schlitze wo die

Führungen (8) angeschraubt sind einschieben.

Dann die beiden Tastbügel (10) mit

Sechskantschrauben (11) und (12) am Mitnehmer
geschw. (3) anschrauben.

sensing straps (10) to the welded catch (3) using

Bolt hexagon bolt (12) to the outer sensing strap as a

lock bolt.

Bolt the hexagon bolt (13) to the end of the sensing

straps (10) so that the sensing straps cannot be
pulled out of the slots any more.

The distance (X) between the lever of the

2. Pull back sensing strap by hand until the

hexagon bolt (13) touches the guide.
