Executive summary:

In this report we are trying to find the progress of Suzuki compare to last 5
years. In our study we had followed different method to find and
analyze the data we are using primary data as well as secondary data.
Before our study lots of study is being done but no one had tried to
research on Suzuki progress in view of last 5 years. We had used the
questionnaire method to study the progress of Suzuki motors we had
asked question to dealers. But After analyzing the quality, reliability, price,
availability of parts and some other aspects it concludes that Suzuki motors
are best and it is the widely used automobile company in Lahore particularly.

Introduction of report:
The main objective of this report is to determine that the
Suzuki progress with last 5 years. The report is base on the
comparison between current model with past year models. I
conducted research with the help of questionnaire surveys
and interviews and reviews of Suzuki users my report comes
in to conclusion based on the results of the questionnaire
and interviews.

History:

The firm was founded in 1983 as a joint venture between Government of

Pakistan and Suzuki Motor Japan, formalizing the arrangement by which Awami
Auto Ltd. had produced the Suzuki SS80 from 1982. Suzuki originally owned
25% of the stock, and have gradually increased their holding; they now own
73.09%. The company is the largest passenger car assembler among the few
players in the Pakistani Market.

Scope of report:
This report basically comprises of the analysis and progress in view of its latest
models A questionnaire was circulated in the markets, shops and NCBA&E
University in order to get people opinion or perception regarding the Suzuki
motors and its last 5 years progress in view of its latest models and the response
of the people used to analysis the popularity and success of the company
providing the best quality, unique and aerodynamic designs, reliable, and
economical prices.

MODELS:
Suzuki Mehran:
The Suzuki Mehran is a small car manufactured
and marketed by Suzuki in Pakistan. It is generally
a first generation Suzuki Alto. MEHRAN 800 cc
(The Small Wonder) Unrivalled in its class,
Mehran is Pakistan largest selling car. More smart
features like head turning lamp, matching front grill
and a two spoke steering wheel gives it the tidy
look. Functional economy, peak performance or unmatched fuel efficiency,
Mehran VXR is the leader.
The car generally lacks essential features which are standard in other cars
essential features like seat belts, CNG, power steering, low quality brake system
and air bags etc.
SUZUKI alto:

It is upgraded form of mehran with1000 cc engine

power and strong body and more featured as
compare to mehran. (Smart Choice - Futuristic
Look) Alto has bright, roomy, comfortable cabin
which keeps body relaxed and has a strong and
lighter body shell resulting in smooth drive due to
reduction of unpleasant noise harshness and vibration. It has tiny turning radius
and compact body make parking a breeze.

Suzuki cultus:
In March 2000 Suzuki cultus is replaced by Khyber.
CULTUS 1000 cc (Exceeding your Expectations) Cultus
is a blend of space and craft. Its trim body conceals
ample space, flexibility for both passengers and
storage. Suzuki Cultus assures everyone, exceptional value and quality.

Suzuki liana:

Suzuki liana is replaced by Suzuki Baleno. Liana MT

/ AT (Life in a New Age) Liana takes you out of the
ordinary and into a realm where your imagination
and sense of adventure have free reign. On another
level, it something entirely different, a car that in
style, dimensions and comfort will inspire you to see
every day as an open door to new age.

SUZUKI BOLAN:

BOLAN VAN (Double the Edge-Double the

Pleasure) The Suzuki Bolan Hi-roof gives you
everything you ever wanted in a van. Spacious
interior for comfort, tough engine to carry large loads
and plenty of room for passengers to enjoy a comfortable day long ride. Air-
conditioned model (dual thrust) has been recently introduced.
SUZUKI RAVI:

Ravi Pickup (Runs Forever) Suzuki Ravi is the

veritable cargo vehicle with an amazing capacity for
load-bearing and durability. Undoubtedly, the
unrivalled commercial vehicle in its class, Ravi is the
breadwinner for millions in Pakistan. This light
commercial vehicle referred to as the mini
revolution, replaced the animal-drawn vehicles in
Pakistan.

Progress & compare:

Pak Suzuki Motor Company. (PSMCL) is a company assembling and
distributing Suzuki Japan's cars in Pakistan. Currently they are one of the most
successful motor companies in Pakistan. Suzuki’s progress with the passage of
time depicts its conscious effort and provides such models which show unique
features yet keeping demands of Pakistan’s econmy in mind.

2004 Jun New plastic injection molding shop commenced Operation.
2005 Mar Capacity expansion up to 80,000 vehicles per year completed.
2006 Jan Capacity expansion up to 120,000 vehicles per year completed.
Jan S.O.P. of 1300cc / 1600cc car LIANA replacing BALENO.
2007 Feb Third phase of capacity expansion up to 150,000 vehicles per year
completed. Oct Amalgamation of Suzuki Motorcycle Pakistan Limited into
Pak Suzuki Motor Company Limited.
Mar 120 acres of new land acquired for further expansion adjacent to the
current plant.

2008 Mar the Company started exporting of Suzuki LIANA to Bangladesh.

Mar Pak Suzuki acquired a land measuring 25.22 acres at Lahore, For
the purpose of setting up PDI Centre, Spare Parts Ware-house, Regional
Office and other related facilities.

2009 Aug 1 millionth Vehicle produced. The Prime Minister of Pakistan

Inaugurated that Ceremony.
2010 Jan S.O.P. of 1300cc car “Swift”.
May S.O.P. of 800cc "Cargo Van".
Comparison:

• CNG versions of MEHRAN launched but in old model of mehran were no

seating belts for driver seat but now mehran having seat belts for front two
seats.

• 1000cc CULTUS replacing KHYBER but Khyber was More durable more
stability as compare to cultus.

• 1300cc / 1600cc car LIANA replacing BALENO replacing MARGALLA,

baleno having strong body and long life engine where as liana 1300cc
having distinctive and aero dynamic shape and the quality decrease their
body is not as strong as baleno was.

• 5 years back alto was importing from Japan that car was more comfortable
and having power windows and central locking system as compare to
currently selling alto.

• New bolan (high roof) having air conditioner along with CNG. Board space
where as in previous model no ac, or congested sitting.

• Potothar having strong body diesel engine two wheel drive but potohar is
now discontinued.

• Suzuki jimny 1300cc, 4wd soundless engine most amazing part of this car.

• Ravi CNG version introduced for utility or cargo users,

Inspite progressing in models or in product mostly people still prefer to purchase

old models over latest models because of strong durable body Suzuki progress in
engine capacity but the quality decreases using low quality material

gathered information I come to the point that mostly people prefer old model of
Suzuki for their strong body, engine power with reasonable price.
