operations planning and development for Local Private Line and Accu-Ring Services for a yearly
commitment of $610M in annual sales.
• Defined marketing development , operations systems strategy, systems architecture and features
needed to support new and existing layer 1 and 2 MPLS Local, LD and Data customer applications and
capabilities, working closely with various work centers and product management. Provided lifecycle
support.
• Spearheaded direction for LPL Ethernet suite of services, including sub rate and full rate Gigabit
Ethernet, creating a revenue stream of over $10M first year. This was provided in various
architectures, which included MSPs and Wavelength DWDM interfaces. Coordinated the efforts of
design, product development, lab testing, and implementation to deliver product within deadline.
• Defined and led efforts for customer premises-MSP (Access device) for “multi-service access”
architecture for expanding AT&T footprint and enabling bandwidth and IP packet edge connectivity.
This saved 50% in capital expenses and provided a platform for future protocol agnostic interfaces.
• Rolled out numerous new local services, such as OC-3c, OC-12c, OC-48c, SONET multiplexing, STS-
1, E1, STM1, STM4, Transparent LAN, various Ring protection architectures and DWDM systems.
• Met with current and prospective customers and made presentations to C-Level executives. Created
an environment that promoted the active sharing of information, ideas and developing of solutions with
customers for their current and future needs.

• Provided expertise in SONET Transport Network Architecture and led the packet-aware multi-service
access network study.
• Directed the local optical network evolution team and implemented the first local DWDM system for
fiber relief.

Data Mirroring with Mid-Span Cache” has been approved US Patent 7549080, June 16, 2009.

Co-authored, with David Yang, Susan Yetter and Keith Curtis, “AT&T Ethernet Transport Services: Metropolitan
and Long-Haul Transport:” white paper which was published in the August/September 2002 issue of the JOURNAL
OF OPTICAL NETWORKING.
