MRIU Admission 2011

Instructions
1. Read the MRIU Admission brochure carefully.
2. Read carefully the instructions before proceeding to fill the form online. You are
advised to take print out of these instructions so that you can refer to the same while
filling form. Once you confirm the correctness of entered data it will be recorded and
you will only be allowed to change few fields thereafter. Therefore before confirming
ensure the correctness of all entered data. If scanned images of photograph and
signatures are not uploaded while applying, Candidates are supposed to paste their
passport size photograph on the printed form and sign on the place provided in the
print form. After reading instruction, Click on the ‘Proceed’ button at the bottom of
this page. (You may have to scroll down the page to see the link.)
3. Read the eligibility part in MRIU brochure carefully. Please ensure that you possess
minimum entry qualification and also satisfy other conditions as mentioned in the
brochure while choosing a course. If you do not posses the minimum qualification as
laid down in admission brochure, you will not be considered for the admission.
4. The Application form is divided into four sections:
A. Personal Details
B. Qualification Details
C. Course Details
D. Payment Details

A. Personal Details – Candidates are supposed to fill in all the personal information
as stated in the form. A link will be provided for uploading the scanned images of
photograph, candidate signature and parent/guardian signature. If the candidate has
scanned image of passport size photograph, candidate signature and Parent/Guardian
signature , then those scanned images can be uploaded while applying online. Please
read the instruction provided on the form while uploading the images. The image size
should not exceed the limit as mentioned in the form.
B. Qualification Details – Candidates should enter the full name of the institute last
attended. Appropriate qualifying examination details should be selected from the list
provided. Candidates can enter the Marks obtained, Percentage or CGPA or Both
(1) Percentage – In case, examining body does not use Grading System, candidate are
advised to fill up percentage of marks obtained into appropriate box.
(2) CGPA – In case examining body uses Grading System, the candidates are advised
to fill up CGPA in the appropriate box and also,preferably equivalent percentage of
marks in the percentage box. However, the candidates shall be required to submit
proof of equivalence of percentage of marks with CGPA at the time of physical
counseling for the purpose of determining their eligibility of the program/course
opted.
C. Course Details – Candidates can select any of the three options.
(1) Under Graduate – On selecting this option , all the courses as per the selected
qualifying examination will be displayed. Candidate can select more than one course.
Applicants are required to indicate choice of course at the time of filling up the form,
except in the case of B.Tech programs.
(2) Post Graduate – On selecting this option, all the courses as per the selected
qualifying examination will be displayed. Candidate can select more than one course.
(3) Doctoral Programmes – Watch for an announcement on our website in this regard.
D. Payment Details – The application fee amount is Rs 1200/-, which as and when
announce can be make in three different modes:
(1) Cash payment at the specified branch of the Axis Bank (please check the branch
details in brochure/website and MRIU counters) – All the candidates intending to pay
the fee in cash, should pay Rs 1200/- before applying online. After payment of cash,
the candidate will be provided with a copy of admission brochure and a scratch card.
The scratch card contains a numeric code. It is mandatory for the candidate to provide
this code in the appropriate box of the online form.
(2) Internet Banking – As per guidelines of the respective bank.
(3) Credit/Debit Card – Candidates intending to pay online can pay the fee via the
payment gateway provided.
5. After filling the application form, the system will generate an application number. The
application number along with auto generated password will be mailed to your
registered email address. On the application form a ‘login’ link will be provided.
Click on the ‘login’ link. It will ask for the application number and password. Enter
the application number and password sent via email in the text box provided. Once
proper application number and password is entered click on the Submit button. The
filled form details will be displayed.
6. Take two copies of print out of the filled-in form. Candidate must carry one copy of
the printed form along with all the relevant documents while attending physical
counseling.
7. While applying online, do not use the ‘Back’ button on the tool bar of your browser.
Use the links and buttons available on the page to move from one page to another. If
candidate uses 'Back' button on tool-bar the page shall be re-set and data already filled
shall be lost. Further, when you have completed applying online, close all the open
browser windows so that others cannot copy your personal details.
8. Final counseling details like merit list, venue, date of counseling, deposition of fee
etc. can be seen at the MRIU web site. Candidates are advised to visit MRIU website
periodically to update themselves. No separate information shall be sent to them in
this regard.
9. MRIU does not have any reservation for any category except NRI/Foreign National.
Information sought in respect of category is for statistical purpose only.
10. Candidates are advised to see the complete details filled by pressing 'Application
View' button before submitting the application. Once application is submitted, editing
shall be allowed only in limited fields such as qualifying exam
details(Subjects,Marks,Percentage) only.
11. Candidates while submitting details of entrance test, must give the validity of the
score as per examining body, e.g. GATE is valid for 2 years and
AIEEE/CAT/SNAP/MAT etc are valid for one year. The candidate must have cleared
the entrance test before physical counseling for considering admission in that
category.
12. FOR PhD APPLICANTS ONLY: “ PLEASE READ THE ORDINANCE OF
THE ADMISSION PROCESS TO PhD ON MRIU Website before applying”.
FORMS ARE AVAILABLE ONLY AT MRIU CAMPUS or Applicants can
apply online through Credit Card.
13. The candidate must note that admission in various programmes / courses except
B.Tech – Normal Entry, M.Tech and MBA shall be exclusively be done on the
basis of merit in MR-NAT as 1st preference and merit in qualifying exam as 2nd
preference. For MBA, MR-NAT score is valid as one of the mode, apart from
other specified entrance exams. The dates of conduct of MR-NAT are given in
the Admission Calendar in Admission Brochure on page 39. All applicants are
advised to appear in the MR-NAT on the designated dates at MRIU campus at
Faridabad, in their own interest.
14. Kindly use Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox to fill in the Application Form.
