OVERVIEW
Working in the IT and Security industries for the past 11 years in quality assurance, project management and man-
aged services roles, has allowed me to become proficient in the areas of communication, risk management, and
effective procurement of resources and assets. My goal is to build on these valued skills as I pursue new ventures
and work towards my Project Management Professional designation.

EXPERIENCE
MANAGER-SECURITY INTEGRATIONS, CONTRACT SECURITY INC.; CALGARY, AB — 2009-2011
Being a small organization provided it’s own unique challenges and opportunities. My primary role as project man-
ager focused on client liaison for new/existing projects and follow-thru to maintain fluidity, time and budgetary con-
straints. My extensive hardware knowledge and experience allowed me to provide data recovery on defective
servers, install and deploy new servers and work with existing IT departments to provide domain integration. Addi-
tionally, I provided website & e-mail administration including Apple product integration and cloud structuring.

PROJECT MANAGER-SECURITY INTEGRATIONS, GUNNEBO CANADA; CALGARY, AB — 2008-2009

I was approached by Gunnebo to create their new security and entrance control department. Being the first
company in Canada to introduce these products to the market place made for exciting challenges. Responsibilities
included hiring and managing internal staff and contractors to ensure projects within my department met budgetary
and deadline requirements. I was responsible for weekly reports on the health of on-going projects and associated
areas of risk, for which I would make recommendations to minimize and effectively resolve. As the technical ex-
pert, I was called upon to determine integration feasibility and organize installation and end user training. Projects
ranged from single site locations to national chain product rollouts.

NATIONAL HARDWARE MANAGER, PATTERSON DENTAL; CALGARY, AB — 2007-2008

As a new branch of operations for the company, I was part of the initial team responsible for creating policies and
procedures for the department. Initially, I was required to travel to our US counterpart for guidance and direction to
identify processes and procedures that could be adapted to our Canadian business model. Specific functions I
managed with Patterson included, creating digital solutions for the dental industry via client/server deployment and
custom software/hardware installation, managing national installation due dates, maintaining inventory levels, work-
ing closely with Synnex Canada to continually exceed existing benchmarks in digital dental integration, and becom-
ing proficient in various software platforms in order to provide remote assistance to installation teams in the field.

QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR, SHAW CABLE SYSTEMS G.P.; CALGARY, AB — 2001-2007

Being involved in the launch of Shaw’s digital phone service was my first introduction to managing projects includ-
ing scheduling, determining risk, and procurement of required resources. Additional responsibilities included train-
ing new staff, conducting quality assessments and yearly staff reviews.
