2 Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung / Intended use
TM TM
Die 3M Anschlussdose für 2 x VF-45 Socket
ist für den Anschluß von Glasfaserkabeln in In-
nenräumen geeignet. Eine andere oder darüber
hinausgehende Verwendung gilt als nicht be-
stimmungsgemäß und ist nicht zulässig.
3 Allgemeines / General
TM
Die Anschlussdose für 2x VF-45 Socket
TM
kann zwei VF-45 Duplex-Sockets auf-
nehmen. Sie passt auf jede UP-Wanddose
nach EN 60670/DIN 49073-TA-M2H1 und auf
übliche Kabelkanäle. Sie ist mit einem Aufbau-
maß von 28 mm extrem flach konzipiert.
Eine in das Gehäuseunterteil integrierte Zugent-
lastung sorgt für einen sicheren Abschluss des
Anschlußkabels. Aufputzmontage ist ebenfalls
möglich. Ein Faservorrat von mehr als 1 m kann
im Gehäuseunterteil mit einem garantierten
Biegeradius von 30 mm sicher abgelegt werden.

According to regional regulations, only
trained personnel may be authorized to
work on the equipment.
TM TM
The 3M wall outlets for 2 x VF-45
sockets are designed for connecting fibre
cables in indoor applications. Another or fur-
ther use is not intended and is inadmissible.
TM
The Volition outlets VF-45 can house up
TM
to two VF-45 sockets. They are used in
conjunction with standard wall outlets com-
plying to EN 60670/DIN 49073-TA-M2H1 and
on standard trunking. Compact design results
in only a 28 mm protrusion from the wall.
An integrated strain relief provides a secu-
re termination. Direct wall mounting is also
possible. Excess fibre length of more than
1 m may be stored securely with a guaran-
teed bend radius of 30mm.

 7 Montage / Installation
7.1 Montagearten / Installation modes
Die Montage ist abhängig vom Untergrund (UP-
Wanddose, Kabelkanal, Gipskartonwand).
Für die Montage auf einer UP-Wandose nach EN
60670/DIN 49073-TA-M2H1 und auf Kabelkanä-
len ist die mitgelieferte Tragplatte zu verwenden.
Achtung : Bei Montage auf Gipskartonplatte
sind die Langlöcher oben rechts und unten links
im Gehäuseunterteil zu verwenden. Niemals die
Schrauben in die auf den Mittelstegen befind-
lichen Löcher einsetzen! Das Gehäuseunterteil
kann dadurch beschädigt werden.
7.1.1 Montage auf UP-Wanddose /
Installation on standard wall outlet
Tragplatte ohne Distanzstücke auf UP-Wanddose
setzen und Schrauben so anziehen, dass sich
die Tragplatte nicht deformiert.

Installation depends on local requirements
(Standard wall outlet, standard trunking, on the
wall). Use delivered base plate for mounting
on a standard wall outlet complying with
EN 60670/ DIN 49073-TA-M2H1 and on stand-
ard trunking.
Attention : When mounting on the wall, use
the oblong holes right above and left bottom
in the outlet base. Never insert the screws
into the holes in the middle bridges. Outlet
base could be demaged this way.
7.1.2 Montage auf Kabelkanal ohne Distanz-
stücke / Installation on standard trunking
without spacers
Tragplatte ohne Distanzstücke auf Kabelkanal-
dose setzen und Schrauben so anziehen, dass
sich die Tragplatte nicht deformiert.

7.1.3 Montage auf Kabelkanal mit Distanz-
stücken / Installation on standard trunk with
distance pieces
Distanzstücke auf die Rückseite der Tragplatte Die Distanzstücke sitzen auf dem Rand der Dose

7.1.4 Montage auf Gipskartonwand /

Installation on the wall
Gehäuseunterteil auf Gipskartonplatte setzen
und mit zwei Schrauben (nicht im Lieferumfang)
befestigen. Langlöcher benutzen.
Position outlet base onto the wall and fix with
two screws (not included). Use the oblong holes.

 7.2 Steckereinbau / Installation of sockets

7.2.1 Kabelführung / Cable guiding

Vom Kabelaustritt gemessen 1,15 m bis
1,25 m des Volition Horizontalkabels abset-
zen und Kabel ggf. auf diese Länge zurück-
schneiden. Kabel im Uhrzeigersinn einlegen,
nachdem der Kabelmantel mit einem Überstand
von 5mm in die Zugentlastung gedrückt wurde.
Wiederholen Sie diesen Vorgang ggf. für
TM
den zweiten VF-45 Socket.
Remove sheath between 1,15 m and 1,25 m
from fibre outlet and shorten the fibre if neces-
sary. Position the fibre sheath into the strain
relief with 5 mm of sheath protruding, then wind
the fibre clockwise into the outlet base . Repeat
TM
with the second VF-45 socket if necessary.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Fasern unter den
Niederhaltern liegen. Schieben Sie den ersten
TM
VF-45 Socket in die linke Keystone-Führung
und danach ggf. den zweiten Socket in die rech-
te Führung. Falls Sie nur einen Socket bestücken,
benutzen Sie immer die linke Keystone-Führung.
Ensure that fibres lay under the fibre guides. Push

the first VF-45 socket in the left keystone
latching and then place the second socket into
the right keystone latching. If only one socket is
used, always choose the left keystone latching.

7.2.2 Blindabdeckung / Blanking plug

Unbenutzte Keystone-Führung mit Blindab-
deckung schließen.

blanking plug.

7.3 Deckel montieren / Installation of outlet lid

7.3.1 Deckel aufsetzen / Set outlet lid

Deckel aufsetzen und mit zwei Schrauben
M3 x 20 befestigen.
Position outlet lid onto outlet base and fasten
using two cheese-head screws M3 x 20.

7.3.2 Beschriftung / Labelling

Beschriftungsstreifen entnehmen, beschriften
und wieder einsetzen
Remove label strip, fill it in and replace it.
