Darius T. Esguerra
Darius is one of the many bright students of Section II-Cattleya in Tambo Elementary School. From the first
day of teaching Catechism, Darius, being one of the most meddlesome students, has been one the few who
immediately caught our attention because in our first activity, the game in which the students introduced themselves,
he had the most interesting answer to one of our questions. Upon being asked what he wanted to have, he replied
without hesitation: “Iyong stuffed toy po. Gusto ko pong mapanalunan ang stuffed toy para ibigay sa bata kong
kapatid.” Darius is the eldest of three children, and he already knew what his responsibilities were as a big brother to
his younger sister.
Darius is a very peculiar child. He is happy-go-lucky, and he is very industrious and courageous. At a very
young age, he rides the jeepney on the way to school without the supervision of either parent. Sometimes, we even
find his chair unoccupied. He explains that the reason for some of his absences is because he had to help his mother
do the laundry or do some chores at home. According to him, his life at school is not that bad because he’s mostly
happy in the company of close friends. Though some of his friends find him annoying, majority of the class still think
that he is a great classmate and friend.
David, a 6- year old student of Grade II Cattleya of Tambo Elementary School, caught our attention with his
cute smiles and chubby features. He was a project officer of his class. Ironically, neither he nor his classmates know
the responsibilities of a project officer.
Second among three children, David is has a carefree personality, yet industrious towards his studies. He
diligently copies his notes and has a good handwriting. His favorite subjects are Math and Filipino. He could be best
described as fun to be with. He plays badminton and volleyball. He also loves to watch different shows in the television.
When asked about how to describe himself, he answered with a smile, “Pogi, malikot.” Through his smiles, he
brightens the class. Because most of his classmates like his company, he is a friend to most of them. He viewed the
CARE as something enjoyable. He liked our company and the time we spent with their class.

Jocelyn Abresilnos
Jocelyn was born on August 11, 2003. She is 7 years old. Her mother is a housewife while her father is a
vendor of chicharon. She has five siblings.
CARE taught Jocelyn to be kind and friendly. She learned that fighting is not good, so she avoids fighting with her
siblings. She helps her classmates and parents when they need help. For her, the most unforgettable day she had
with us was during our Christmas Party because it was fun and enjoying.

Shane C. Amatus
Shane was born on July 15, 2003. She is from Tambo, Lipa City, and she is a Grade 2 student in Tambo Elementary
School. Her father is Joel Amatus and he works as a driver. Her mother is Rhodore Amatus, and she takes care of
children. Shane enjoys, dancing, singing and studying. She dreams of becoming a nurse or a teacher.
Shane learned more about Jesus because of CARE. She learned that through prayer, she can communicate with
Jesus to thank Him for all the blessing He has given. She told us that when she met us, she became happier
because she could learn more, and she gained more friends. She learned different values like obeying her parents,
and showing respect to elders. She also learned to share her things, and not be selfish. She also learned to love
others and not fight with them.
