DROPS Spring / Summer 2011, patterns are coming online!

We are now posting the patterns on an ongoing basis as they

are finished and proofread. This year, the collection consists of
many classic and lightweight "must-haves". We have used new
and old knitting and crochet techniques to get beautiful
asymmetrical shapes and nice, interesting textures. There is
everything from tunics and small shoulder garments to trendy
interior items in beautiful, bright pastels. The patterns included in the new books are
selected on the basis of the voting results and accompanying comments have weighed
heavily. There is something for everyone. Thanks for all the comments and ratings!

CROCHET TIP:
Finish each round w ith 1 sl st in first st from beg of round (bobeche).

PICOT:
1 picot = ch 4, 1 dc in the first of these 4 ch.

ROSE:
Ch 4 with hook 3 mm/C and Safran and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch.
ROUND 1: 6 sc in ring.
ROUND 2: ch 3, * 1 sc in next sc, ch 3 *, repeat from *-*, finish w ith 1 sl st in first ch on
round = 6 ch spaces.
ROUND 3: Crochet as follows in each ch space: 1 sc, ch 1, 3 dc, ch 1 and 1 sc.

ROUND 4: Fold leaves towards you and crochet in round 2 as follows: ch 5, 1 sc round first
sc on round 2, * ch 4, 1 sc round next sc on round 2 *, repeat from *-*, finish with ch 4 and
1 sl st in first ch from beg of round = 6 ch spaces.
ROUND 5: Crochet as follows in each ch space: 1 sc, ch 1, 5 dc, ch 1 and 1 sc.
ROUND 6: Fold leaves towards you and crochet in round 4 as follows: ch 6, 1 sc round first
sc on round 4, * ch 5, 1 sc round next sc on round 4 *, repeat from *-*, finish with ch 5 and
1 sl st in first ch from beg of round = 6 ch spaces.
ROUND 7: Crochet as follows in each ch space: 1 sc, ch 1, 7 dc, ch 1 and 1 sc.
ROUND 8: Fold leaves towards you and crochet in round 6 as follows: ch 7, 1 sc round first
sc on round 6, * ch 6, 1 sc round next sc on round 6 *, repeat from *-*, finish with ch 6 and
1 sl st in first ch from beg of round = 6 ch spaces.
ROUND 9: Crochet as follows in each ch space: 1 sc, ch 1, 9 dc, ch 1 and 1 sc, cut thread.
Glue the rose to a matchbox.

BOBECHE:
Ch 30 w ith hook size 3.5 mm/E/4 and Safran and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch.
ROUND 1: Crochet 36 sc in ring – see CROCHET TIP.
ROUND 2: ch 5, * skip 2 sc, 1 sc in next sc, ch 4 *, repeat from *-*, finish w ith 1 sl st in first
ch on round = 12 ch spaces.
ROUND 3: Crochet as follows in each ch space: 1 sc, 5 dc and 1 sc.
ROUND 4: Turn leaves towards you and crochet in round 2 as follows: ch 7, 1 dc round first
sc on round 2, * ch 5, 1 dc round next sc on round 2 *, repeat from *-*, finish with 5 ch and
1 sl st in 2nd ch from beg of round = 12 ch spaces.
ROUND 5: Crochet as follows in each ch space: 1 sc, 7 dc and 1 sc.
ROUND 6: Turn leaves towards you and crochet in round 4 as follows: ch 9, 1 dc round first
dc on round 4, * ch 7, 1 dc round next dc on round 4 *, repeat from *-*, finish with ch 7 and
1 sl st in 2nd ch from beg of round = 12 ch spaces.
ROUND 7: Crochet as follows in each ch space: 1 sc, 1 dc, 9 tr, 1 dc and 1 sc.
Cut and fasten thread.

BOBECHE FOR LARGER CANDLE

Diameter 7 cm / 2 3/4'': Beg with 33 ch, crochet 39 sc on round 1 and then crochet 1 leaf
extra = 13 leaves.
Diameter 8.5 cm / 3 1/8'': Beg with 36 ch, crochet 42 sc on round 1 and then crochet 2
leaves extra = 14 leaves.
For every 1½ cm / ½'' extra diameter ad 3 ch + 3 sc and then 1 extra leaf.
