UPDATE
W hat I started out as a
Student Ministry
class last semester became
quickly a passion of mine.
When I asked the Lord
which ministry class to
take, I was surprised He did
not let me pick arts or any of
the other classes I would
have loved to choose.
Soon enough, I was in-
volved in a children's minis-
try called "Dallas Metro
Kids". I continue volunteer-
ing there this semester,
simply because it has be-
come more than a classroom
experience to me. Relation-
ships with the children have
flourished for all the CFNI
volunteers in our team. We are
trying to sow the Love of Christ
into their hearts and slowly I in this
can recognize fruits.
However, on our first time
out this semester, we had several
problems that almost stopped us

was no arguing with Him, but I resisted
quite a while until He broke my stub-
bornness with His gentleness.

actually participate in that missionary's
journey.
It reminds me of a story I heard at a
missionary banquet. A kid in a wheel
missionaries at his church. Within a
week he gathered together all the funds
that missionary needed at that specific
moment. He went back home the happi-
est kid, knowing he was helping others
in need by this simple act. That same
day the boy died.
We are all called to reach out. What
I learned here is that we need to be open
to however God chooses to use us.
There are only three options: We pray,
send or go. Not to be involved in mis-
sions at all is not an option.
