Wie spät ist es? Wie viel Uhr ist es?

This ist absolutely simple. It's about time (What time is it?)

For 'past' in English, in German we are using 'nach'.

For 'to' in English, in German we are using 'vor'.

For 'quarter' in English, in German we are using 'Viertel'.

For 'half' in English, in German we are using 'halb'.

O'clock in English ist Uhr in German.

EXAMPLES:

12.00 – Es ist zwölf Uhr.

14.05 – Es ist zehn nach zwei.

09.15 – Es ist Viertel nach neun.

11:20 – Es ist zwanzig nach elf.

15.25 – Es ist fünf vor halb vier.

10.30 – Es ist halb elf.

16.35 – Es ist fünf nach halb fünf.

10.40 – Es ist zwanzig vor elf.

17.45 – Es ist Viertel vor sechs.

15.50 – Es ist zehn vor vier.

11.55 – Es ist fünf vor zwölf.

1- eins, 2 – zwei, 3 – drei, 4 – vier, 5- fünf, 6 – sechs,

7 – sieben, 8 – acht, 9 – neun, 10 – zehn, 11 – elf, 12 – zwölf,

13 – dreizehn, 14 – vierzehn, 15 – fünfzehn, 16 – sechzehn,

17 – siebzehn, 18 – achtzehn, 19 – neunzehn, 20 – zwanzig.
