2 RELEASE NOTES
A summary of new features incorporated into this new maintenance release (and the previous release) of
the software is given below.
For instructions of how to register the software (if appropriate), please see the SOFTWARE_REGISTRATION
document provided with the program.
If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, please note that you may need administrator permissions
to install the software.
Results from TRANSYT 14.0.2 should give good agreement with earlier major versions of TRANSYT (12, 13,
13.1) where newer features in TRANSYT 14 have not been activated. Results should also give good
agreement with earlier releases of TRANSYT 14. Results may differ from earlier versions/releases because
of modelling improvements and some subtle differences between the implementation in each release of each
version.

*Note also that users of either of the existing TRANSYT13 LINKS are also licensed to use the equivalent
TRANSYT14 LINKS (once they have upgraded TRANSYT 13 to TRANSYT 14).

1. Send an email to software@trl.co.uk stating your name, customer ID and site, and
requesting a download code for TRANSYT STANDARD or NETWORK VERSION. You may also
telephone or fax the Software Bureau.
2. You will be provided by return with a Download ID, which will be valid for that calendar
day.
3. Browse to www.trlsoftware.co.uk/downloads
4. Enter your download ID and press the Submit button. The download for the appropriate
version of TRANSYT will then begin automatically.
5. Open the downloaded .zip file and run SETUP.EXE. This will replace your existing version
of TRANSYT with the new version.
6. Please note that you should NOT need a new unlock code to run the new version. N.B.
TRANSYT 14, TRANSYT-VISSIM LINK and TRANSYT-Aimsun LINK use separate unlock codes.
