DESCRIPTION OF THE LEARNER: Ms. Cabotage, 19 y/o, female, accidentally burnt her back when she was applying alcohol onto
her back without being aware of the candle behind her. Patient is able to understand, speak, read English but prefers Tagalog as
medium for instruction. Patient states that she is willing to gain knowledge about the care of burns.

LEARNING NEED: Treatment of burns

LEARNING DIAGNOSIS: Knowledge deficit: proper management of burns related to lack of information as manifested by patient
claims that she doesn’t know how to treat the burns
