LESSON:

COMPLAINING BE GONE!
HELP!!!! I’m stuck in the desert, and I can’t get out.

Verse to Remember: Do everything without complaining or

arguing. Philippians 2:14

Then you will be innocent and without anything wrong

in you. You will be God’s children without fault. But
you are living with crooked and mean people all around
you. Among them you shine like stars in the dark
world . Philippians 2:15

POINT TO REMBEMBER: WE MUST NOT ALLOW COMPLAINING BE A

PART OF OUR EVERY DAY CONVERSATION, BECAUSE IT IS SIN AND
WILL OPEN THE DOOR FOR AN EVIL SPIRIT TO COME IN OUR HEART.
THAT SPIRIT WILL CAUSE ONE TO BE ALWAYS DISSATISFIED WITH
EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING.

Effects of Complaining:

 OPENS THE DOOR TO THE SPIRIT OF WHOREDOMS

(CHRONIC DISSATISFACTON LEADING TO SEEKING AFTER
ALL FORMS OF IDOLATRY - THINGS WE PUT BEFORE GOD)
 DESTROYS RELATIONSHIPS WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS
 MAKES ONES LIFE MISERABLE
 CAUSES ONE TO RESIST AUTHORITY AND GOD
 OPENS THE DOOR FOR REBELLION AND DISOBEDIENCE
 OPENS THE DOOR TO SICKNESS AND DEATH (EXAMPLE: The
Israelites)
 COMPLAINING SPREADS LIKE WILDFIRE - OUT OF
CONTROL

Numbers 11: 4 - 6 ISRAELITES STUCK IN THE DESERT

Some troublemakers among them wanted better food. Soon all the
Israelites began complaining. They said, “We want meat! We
remember the fish we ate for free in Egypt. We also had
cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions and garlic. But now we have lost
our appetite. We never see anything but this manna!

I Corinthians 10:5, 6, 10,11

(5) But God was not pleased with most of them. They died in the
desert. (6) And these things that happened are examples for us.
(10) And do not complain as some of them did. They were killed by
the angel that destroys. (11) The things that happened to those
people are examples. And they were written down to be warning
for us.

Prayer for you:

Dear Father,
I ask you to forgive me for all the times that I have murmured and
complained against you and others. Thank you Lord that you are
faithful to forgive me and you remember my sins no more. Thank you
for the blood of Jesus that cleanses me and makes me whole. I receive
your forgiveness and now walk with confidence in knowing you love me
so much.

I command the presence of a complaining spirit to leave me. You no

longer have a right in my life. Go from me in Jesus name!

Father, help me to be aware and on alert by your Spirit to keep my

tongue from evil, especially complaining.

Thank you Dear Lord for my new found freedom in Christ Jesus.

Amen.
