It’s bigger than ever
Q UEENSLAND’S biggest outdoor
lifestyle and adventure show – the
Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show and
National 4x4 and Outdoors Show – is on
again.
The RNA Showgrounds at Bowen Hills
once again plays host to this massive event
from April 8 to 10, which is a staple on the
calendar for outdoor enthusiasts.
In 2011, there will be more on-site
parking facilities and more exhibition space
than ever before.
“The 2011 show has been expanded and
improved upon and we’re expecting record
numbers of both visitors and exhibitors,”
Marine Queensland events manager Jason
Plant said.
Heading the bumper line-up at this year’s
event is extreme fisherman and adrenalin
junkie Matt Watson, host of The Ultimate
Fishing Show, who will be making special
appearances.
Part stuntman, part conservationist and
self-confessed mad fisherman, Watson has
been known to wrestle with huge marlin
from the flimsy protection of a jet ski.
Watson pulls off impossible catches,
unbelievably big fish from ridiculously
small boats, and will be sharing his amazing
fishing tips and telling tales about his
extreme adventures.
Another drawcard will be former AFL
star Peter “Spida” Everitt, host of The Great
Australian Doorstep on 7TWO.
He will be on hand to meet fans and offer
his tips on how to cook the best barbecue
meals at the Waeco Outback Stage.
This is a great day out for the whole
family. There’s fishing, four wheel drives,
camper trailers, big and small boats, lures,
tents and sleeping bags.
National 4x4 Show & Outdoors Expo
event manager Mark Petersen said that to

exciting news.
“Each year the shows get bigger and
better and the 2011 show will continue the
trend,” Mr Petersen said.
Show highlights include The Waeco
Outback Stage, where outdoor enthusiasts
can pick up 4WD tips and techniques,
along with camping and cooking advice.

quality electricity,” he said.
“This makes it ideal for use with
frequency-sensitive electrical equipment
such as computers.
“The Honda EU20i also uses a high
speed multi-point alternator that is
integrated into the engine itself.
“The Honda-developed technology
reduces the overall weight and size by
25-50 per cent, compared to similarly rated
conventional models.”
