Buenos Aires 31
Cultural Capital of Latin America
The City of Buenos Aires matches the porteña mystic with the overall
modernity while presenting an intense cultural life which turns it into the
venue of the most varied and attractive cultural events.
Birthplace of great poets, painters, musicians and dancers, owner of a
rich history which remains alive in the urban heart, the rhythm of culture is
restless in this metropolis. The City’s heart beats in the great theatres and
on the small scenarios, where the classics, avant-garde and experimental
popular proposals live together every day.
The cultural interest is felt in the bookshops, where thirsty for knowledge
readers may find both old and modern editions. Buenos Aires is
discovered through its museums, art galleries, tango and milonga shows,
and in festivals gathering international and local artists which appeal
visitors worldwide.
The City, which matches passion with intellectuality, is restless; the
capital of Argentina always has some surprises for us. The City of Buenos
