About EDGE

We at NSPL have launched EDGE (Training & Placement Program). The program is targeted at
bright and fresh Bachelors in engineering. Program is running in association with many
Universities & Colleges.

The 6 months long program will include 12 weeks of exhaustive class-room and practical
training conducted by experienced Software Engineers of NSPL, the remaining period of 12
weeks include Live Project Training.

On successful completion of the program the candidate would get a certificate from NSPL and
also could land with Job opportunities in the NSPL, affiliates and group companies.

Program Overview

The program is designed to “train-the-right applicant” to support the applicant to get into the
job market (or to take the career to the next level). This program will focus on hands-on
training in the job industry.

The Program will provide applicants with a ready-to-work, complete training for basic hands-on
training and work implementation.

Training Facility

NSPL has its own training facility in Amritsar. The Facility is equipped with all the latest
equipments needed to bring out the best in oneself. The Facility is managed by NSPL’s Software
Professionals. All training sessions are taken up by these individuals having ample industry and
training experience.

Eligibility

Applicants persuing/completed Computer or Engineering degree.

Graduates: BCA / B.S.C (Computer Science) / B.Tech (Computer Science) / B.M.M
Postgraduates: M.Tech / MCA / M.S.C (Computer Science)

Training Period

The tenure of training may vary from 2 to 6 months, depending upon the course undertaken.

Training Cost

6 Month Training

120 Hours Classroom Training By Team Leader (IT Department NSPL) & Lab Sessions
120 Hours Live Project Training

240 Hours (Almost 240/8 = 30 Days Working of Team Leader)

Cost of 30 Days working of Team Leader 30000 INR

Infrastructure Cost 5000 INR

Net Cost 35000 INR

60% Cost will be contributed by NSPL (20000 INR) under Edge Scheme

40% Cost will be paid by Trainee (15000 INR)

2 Month Training

30 Hours Classroom Training By Team Leader (IT Department NSPL) & Lab Sessions
30 Hours Project Training

240 Hours (Almost 60/8 = 7.5 Days Working of Team Leader)

Cost of 7.5 Days working of Team Leader 7500 INR

Infrastructure Cost 1500 INR

Net Cost 9000 INR

45% Cost will be contributed by NSPL (4000 INR) under Edge Scheme

55% Cost will be paid by Trainee (5000 INR)

Note

NSPL will contribute 100% Fee for Candidates who score above 80% in the test
conducted by NSPL.

Accommodation Cost

NSPL has hostel facilities for boys and girls inclusive of dinning ranging from 2500 INR to 3000
INR at near by places.

Certification

On successful completion of the program the candidate would get a Training certificate from
NSPL. Students who would work on live Projects, will get separate experience Certificate
provided by NSPL.

Placement Scope

NSPL assures placement with NSPL itself or with the allied software companies, depending upon
the performance being appraised by the HR Department of NSPL on completion of training.

How to Apply

Candidates should submit their resume along with documents 3 months before the start of
training period. Applicants persuing Computer or Engineering degree have to apply for
industrial training by submitting a letter from their college authority.

Selection Procedure

We are receiving lot of Applications per Month for training. We shortlist applicants and inform
them through email. Final selection will be through screening which includes Aptitude Test and
counseling.

NSPL provides industrial Training to engineering students and other going for Master Degree in
Computers.

Real Life Projects are necessary to mould a fresh engineering student into a Software Engineer.
Unfortunately there are very few software companies thinking about it. NSPL gives chance to
