Project-1:

Title : Client and Account Management

Client : Leumi Bank
Duration : Jan ’10 to till date

Description:

In existing system the data scattered around multiple systems. The data
makes ad-hoc reporting increasingly difficult and complex, thus resulting in
performance issues. And the current system lacks true dimensional views. The project
aims to build a Data Warehouse solution for business people at their business, by
integrating the business data from various source systems like flat files and Oracle
tables. The solution will use a Dimensional Model for providing a multidimensional view
and allow analytical and ad-hoc reporting.
The Main Process that performed is -Extraction, Transformation & Loading. In
the first phase of the project we move data from flat files to staging area (STG) of the
Warehouse system and In the second phase we move data from staging area to the
Warehouse system.

Responsibilities:

• Understanding the Requirement Specifications

• Extraction of data from various sources using Informatica.
• Developed mappings, created tasks and sessions.
• Transformations like Source Qualifier, Connected/Unconnected Lookups,
Aggregator, Expression, Filter, Sequence generator and Update Strategy are
used in mappings.
• Using ETL process to Extract, Transform and Load the data into stage area and
data warehouse.
• To keep track of historical data slowly changing dimensions are implemented.
• Performed Unit Testing.

Client : Techmines Inc. USA.
Duration : Oct ’08 to Dec ’09
Environment : Informatica 8.1, Oracle9i, WindowsXP.

Description:

Client is a merchandiser selling goods like clothes, electronic items, food items etc.

 Providing services through a network of franchise dealers, phone, direct sales and
sales persons. The main objective of the project is to help the senior and middle level
management of the organization to improve the sales and get the knowledge of the
new business opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Understanding the Requirement Specifications.

• Extensively involved in the ETL Development.
• Involved in development of Stage, Dimension, and Fact table’s mappings using
Connected/Unconnected LKPs, EXP, UPD Strategy, Filter, Router, and AGG,
Joiner Trans formations.
• Identify and tracked the slowly changing dimension tables, heterogeneous Sources
and determine the hierarchies in the dimensions.
• Creating Sessions and Work flow in Workflow Manager.
• Involved in unit test case preparation.

MetLife Insurance Company of Europe is part of The MetLife Corporation, a

worldwide insurance organization providing specialized insurance programs to
individuals and a wide range of businesses through independent brokers. The goal of
the project, which involved personnel from across the IT function, was to bring together
information in one place and then introduce web-enabled reporting and analysis be
taken up rapidly by users. Overall EMIR gives managers timely and accurate
information; this allows managers to better identify growth opportunities and to
capitalize on the most profitable parts of the business.

Responsibilities:

• Understanding ETL specifications document

• Analyze Source and target System data.
• Worked on Informatica Source Analyzer, Warehouse Designer, Mapping
Designer and Transformations.
• Involved in importing Source/Target Tables from the respective databases.
