Tuition and Fees for Academic Year 2010/2011

Application fee is SR 200, non-refundable.

EFFAT UNIVERSITY TUITION AND FEES

Regular Students
Tuition is assessed based on the classification of the credit hours. Students are assessed tuition each semester on the base of their Major and number of credits carried. Effat University by-laws dictate that
the total credit hours per semester must be between 12 and 21 hours.

INTERNSHIP FEES
Internship fees are calculated according to the plan specified above provided it does not exceed 3 hours for lecture and 12 hours for practicum. This structure excludes possible fees required for placement.

OTHER STUDENTS OTHER FEES – OPTIONAL


Tuition for visiting, auditing, and summer students is calculated as regular student fees. Effat University offers health insurance services upon the request of the student. Health Insurance Fee (bronze) SR 1500 / Yr.

TRAINING FEES
Effat Students in some majors are required to obtain off-site training. If so, a deposit of SR 6,000 is requested at the time of pre-advising. If the site chosen does not charge a fee, the deposit will be refunded by the Add/Drop date.

MERIT-BASED FINANCIAL AWARDS


Effat University students whose cumulative GPA is 3.5 or above, will be granted 25% discount on total tuition calculated as based on the classification of the credit hours tuition rate for major/program. No discounts are available for
technology or lab fees. Eligibility for receiving this grant is evaluated every semester.

MEMBERSHIPS: EFFAT LIBRARY AND ENHANCEMENT CENTERS


Discontinued students may become members of the Effat Library and Enhancement Centers: Career Development Office, Office of Communication & Rhetoric, and Independent Learning Center for a fee of SR 10,000 per semester.

PAYMENT PLAN
Students are required to pay tuition and fees in full upon registration. A student is considered officially registered when all financial obligations are met or specific arrangements have been made with the Finance Department. The tuition
balance is due by the end of the Add/Drop date.
Students who choose to pay in installments should provide a signed contract from their guardian notarized by the guardian’s employer to guarantee payment to Effat University.

Effat University reserves the right to withhold services to students whose accounts are not paid in full or whose deferred payment plan is past due or in delinquent status.

PAYMENT IS PAID BY 3 INSTALMENTS BASIS AS FOLLOWS: PAYMENT METHOD

REFUND POLICY HOUSING FEES


• There is no refund for withdrawal from individual courses. Students have a choice of deluxe room options in the newly renovated Student Residence at the following rates:
• In the event that a student withdraws completely from the university, the following refund schedule will be applied: Room Type Semester

*if the students submit all requirement documents, they will receive a refund check within three working days. Fees include three meals a day. A SR 1,000 deposit is required plus SR 1,000 insurance against damages.

TRANSPORTATION FEES EFFAT CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER FEES


Transportation is available for residents and students enrolled at Effat University who live off-campus. For the benefit of employees and students, a nursery and kindergarten are available at the following rates:
