Important Safety Instructions

Power Supply

95~240V AC 50/60Hz ( general)

Location

Locate the receiver in an indoor location with good ventilation, suitable temperature, no direct sunrays,
low humidity, and low vibration. Unplug the STB during lightening, storms or when unused for long
periods of time.

Place the receiver at least 30cm from the wall & do not put heavy objects or any electrical appliance on
top of the receiver.

Avoid Overloading

Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords or adapters as this can result in fire or electric shock.

The symbol, is intended to alert the user to the presence of un-insulated “dangerous
voltage“ within the product’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute
a risk of electric shock to persons

The symbol is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and
maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the product

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus to rain or
moisture.

NOTE : if not used for long, please remember to pull out the power cable or turn off the power.

Cleaning

Disconnect the STB from the wall socket before cleaning. Use a dry cloth to dust the STB.

Avoid objects & Liquid Entry

Do not insert any kinds of small objects such as coins into the receiver & keep liquids away, as it may
result in short circuit.

Ventilation Openings

The Receiver’s ventilation openings prevent itself from heating. Do not block then as it may cause
malfunctioning. Ensure that free airflow is maintained around the receiver.

Connecting STB (SET TOP BOX) to TV

RCA video /audio Connector

1. Connect your aerial into the set top boxes RF - IN socket.

2. Connect the supplied RCA cables to the Set Top Box RCA outputs and your TVs RCA inputs.

Controls and Functions

Front Panel

1 POWER - Press to switch between operation and standby modes


2 OK – Press to display program list or confirm an item in the menu
3 , 5 VOL – Adjust the volume when watching a channel, or move to the left or right item
in the menu
4 , 7 CH – Change the previous or next channel when watching TV, or move to the next
higher or lower item in the menu.

6 MENU – Press to display main menu

Rear Panel

1 LOOP OUT - if loop through output from digital tuner


2 RS232 – Connect to a PC for software upgrade
3 S/P DIF – Output for connection to a digital amplifier
4 S-VIDEO – Connect to the S-VHS jack on the TV
5 VIDEO – Video signal from the receiver to the TV
6 MONO – Mono signal from your receiver to TV
7 LBN IN – Connect to Satellite antenna (If input from LNB to digital tuner)
8 RF IN – Signal input from local CATV network or outdoor TV antenna
9 RF OUT – UHF RF output to TV set’s antenna in
10 ,11 LEFT / RIGHT – Audio signal from your receiver to TV
12 100-240V~ - Power Supply

Settings and Operations

Restore Factory Re-Set (Factory Default)

The operation deletes all the data currently saved and settings and returns the system to the
initial status.

1. Press ‘Menu’ button


2. Select ‘Installation’
3. Enter password
4. Press ‘OK’ to continue, ‘EXIT’ to cancel

Parental Control

In order to prevent certain channels being viewed.

To enable the parental Control

1. Press ‘Menu’ button


2. Select ‘Parental Control’
3. Enter password
4. Select ‘LOCK’ or ‘NO LOCK’

To set Channels for blocking

1. Press ‘Menu’ button


2. Select ‘Installation’
3. Enter password
4. Select ‘Channel Edit’
5. Select the channel & press ‘LOCK/NO LOCK’ (using yellow button on RCU)

Favorite Channel Selection

To designate the channels of the current TV list as the favorite channel.

Add to favorite list

1. Press ‘Menu’ button


2. Select ‘Installation’
3. Select ‘Set favorite list’
4. Add channels as instructions given

Edit channels from favorite list

1. Press ‘Menu’ button


2. Select ‘Installation’
3. Select ‘ favorite list edit’
4. Select the respective channel from the favorite list from keys.
5. Use the four color keys on the RCU for the necessary function
Skip (Red Key) Move (Green Key)
Lock (yellow Key) Delete (Blue Key)

Timer reservations

This function allows to set the time to make the receiver perform the designated actions
including timer based wakeup/sleep the STB.

The function is not available with the Coship STB.

Program Guide – EPG

EPG shows the event information on the current TP channel by time zone. The event is
displayed only at the channel’s that has EPG information. EPG is divided into daily, weekly &
extended mode. When EPG button is pressed daily mode is displayed as a default.

Press EPG button on the RCU.

Manual Scan

The function allows searching for channels on a manual mode.

1. Press ‘Menu’ button


2. Select ‘Installation’
3. Enter password
4. Select ‘Channel search’
5. Select ‘Manual Search’ ( Blue button on RCU)

Performance

The function allows verifying the link quality and the power.

Press the ‘Red’ button on the remote control unit(RCU).
