the l e a d e r s h i p o f the church ( u s u a l l y one p e r s o n ) and have d o c t o r i n e s t h a t a r e n o t even
r e m o t e l y " C h r i s t i a n " a l t h o u g h t h e y may o r may n o t borrow h e a v i l y from (and m i s i n t e r p r e t )
B i b l e s c r i p t u r e . I n t h e case o f t h e Jim Roberts G r o u p , money i s n o t an i s s u e a t a l l ,

and know, Sean " Z e v i " H e r i g o d t . A few days ago d u r i n g a phone c o n v e r s a t i o n , we were
d i s c u s s i n g communism and C h r i s t i a n i t y , and Z e v i was t r y i n g t o e x p l a i n t o me how he
drew p a r a l l e l s between t h e m . I made some comments a b o u t t h e c o n c e p t Z e v i was trying
to convey t o me, and he l i k e d my comments so much t h a t he asked me t o go t h i n k on i t
some more and w r i t e o u t a s e r i e s o f n o t e s a b o u t i t based on o u r c o n v e r s a t i o n that
he c o u l d l a t e r use i n e n l a r g i n g and c l a r i f y i n g h i s c o n c e p t i n t o a s y n o p s i s he c o u l d
use as a b a s i s f o r p e r h a p s a s e r m o n , o r p e r h a p s a s o r t o f w r i t t e n t h e s i s p a p e r on t h e
s u b j e c t . I'm n o t r e a l l y c l e a r a b o u t w h a t my f r i e n d Z e v i has g o i n g on t h e r e i n New Or-
l e a n s , having n o t v i s i t e d him t h e r e y e t , b u t I imagine he p r o b a b l y has some s o r t o f
commune-style C h r i s t i a n group g o i n g , a s o r t o f t i g h t l y - k n i t y e t l o o s e l y - o r g a n i z e d
church s i m i l a r t o t h e one he l e f t we used t o j u s t c a l l "The Howes S t . House" ( t h e n
l a t e r t h e "Meldrum S t . House" a f t e r a move) b a c k i n F o r t C o l l i n s , C o l o r a d o . So, I
i m a g i n e w h a t Z e v i was t r y i n g t o a s k o f me d u r i n g o u r l a s t phone c o n v e r s a t i o n was t o
w r i t e o u t some n o t e s based on my t h o u g h t s a b o u t h i s i d e a o f t h e s i m i l a r i t i e s between
t r u e C h r i s t i a n i t y and r e a l Communism ( a s opposed t o t h e i n s t i t u t i o n a l i z e d v e r s i o n
of b o t h , which i s almost u n i v e r s a l l y misunderstood due t o t h e i n f l u e n c e o f S a t a n ) ,
so he c o u l d o r g a n i z e my n o t e s i n t o a w r i t t e n p a p e r , a p r e s e n t a t i o n t o t h e New Orleans
g r o u p he's a p a r t o f . The e x a c t t h i n g he s a i d t o me w a s , "Wow, you j u s t s a i d p e r f e c t l y
exactly the thing I have been t r y i n g t o say a l l a l o n g b u t I j u s t c o u l d n ' t come up
w i t h t h e w o r d s t o say i t ! You need t o go w r i t e t h a t s t u f f down and send i t t o me so
I can use i t ! " I was extremely f l a t t e r e d , then immediately felt guilty because, you

The reason I f e l t so f l a t t e r e d by Z e v i ' s c o m p l i m e n t s a b o u t my understanding of


his i d e a s and h i s r e q u e s t f o r me t o w r i t e o u t n o t e s a b o u t i t , i s because I have a l -
ways l o o k e d up t o Z e v i as a s o r t o f "Church E l d e r " , even t h o u g h he i s y o u n g e r t h a n
me. T h i s i s because Z e v i has been a C h r i s t i a n l o n g e r t h a n me, has s e t t l e d upon C h r i s t
i a n i t y as h i s one and only religious f a i t h whereas I t e n d t o s k i p around t o d i f f e r e n t
religions b u t somehow a l w a y s "coming home" back t o C h r i s t i a n i t y a f t e r I f i n d f l a w s i n
the o t h e r r e l i g i o n s , and because I f e e l t h a t Z e v i has fought harder t o avoid s i n i n
all it's v a r i o u s m a n i f e s t a t i o n s and been more s u c c e s s f u l a t i t t h a n I e v e r h a v e . As
I type t h i s , I am sitting i n a Colorado j a i l f o r m u l t i p l e f e l o n i e s , looking at the
p o s s i b i l i t y o f years i n p r i s o n due to stupid things I do w h i l e i n t o x i c a t e d on alcohol
and d r u g s . I have had a problem w i t h drugs and a l c o h o l f o r y e a r s and have a l w a y s view
ed t h i s p r o b l e m o f more o f a r e l i g i o u s and spiritual f a i l u r e than simply a personal
o n e , and a l w a y s w e n t t o Z e v i f o r a d v i c e because I f e l t r e j e c t e d by t h e o t h e r members
of h i s own group, not t o mention o t h e r c h u r c h e s , and I a l w a y s f e l t t h a t Z e v i gave me
good a d v i c e b u t t h a t I j u s t d i d n ' t f o l l o w i t w e l l enough t o a f f e c t a c h a n g e . So when
Z e v i s a i d he l i k e d my consents a b o u t h i s c o m p a r i s o n s o f ( t r u e ) communism t o (true)
C h r i s t i a n i t y and a s k e d me t o " w r i t e n o t e s a b o u t i t " t o send h i m , I f e l t like Saul
must have f e l t a f t e r , having t u r n e d from being "Saul" t o being " P a u l " , wrote h i s
t h o u g h t s ajfcout C h r i s t i a n i t y and b r o u g h t them t o t h e o r i g i n a l A p o s t l e s and l e t them
r e a d i t and t h e n a s k e d , "What do you t h i n k , g u y s ? " and t h e y answered h i m , "Not only
do we like i t , b u t we like i t enough t h a t i t ' s g o i n ' i n The B o o k , baby!" So t h e t h i n g
is, I r e a l l y have t o w a t c h my p r i d e as I w r i t e t h i s and do my b e s t t o s t a y "on topic"
and n o t go o f f on t a n g e n t s as I am p r o n e t o d o , and not t a l k about myself unless i t
is in relation t o an s p e c i f i c example o f C h r i s t i a n communism. I ' v e a l s o d e c i d e d to
p r a y b e f o r e each t y p i n g s e s s i o n i n s p i t e o f t h e f a c t t h a t I have had much t r o u b l e
w i t h my own faith lately- a l t h o u g h I b e l i e v e my own f a i t h o r l a c k t h e r e o f has little
to do w i t h t h i s p a p e r , as t h e f a c t s o f C h r i s t i a n communism seem s e l f - e v i d e n t t o me.

of time i n the j a i l typing room and the t y p e w r i t e r i t s e l f i s o f t e n o u t o f i n k due to
it's n e a r - c o n t i n u a l use by o t h e r i n m a t e s . I've s a i d my p r a y e r and am ready t o b e g i n .

I t h i n k i t wise t o b e g i n t h i s p a p e r w i t h a r e p e a t o f t h e c o n v e r s a t i o n I had with


Z e v i and t h e comments made t h a t p r o m p t e d t h i s paper t o begin w i t h , t o the best of
my r e c o l l e c t i o n , s i n c e i t has a l r e a d y been a b o u t two weeks s i n c e t h a t c o n v e r s a t i o n .
We w e r e d i s c u s s i n g a l e t t e r Z e v i had s e n t me i n w h i c h Z e v i had m a i l e d me a copy o f a
p a p e r he had w r i t t e n d e s c r i b i n g t h e d i f f e r e n c e between Communism, S o c i a l i s m , and Marx-
i s m . I had made t h e comment t h a t any one o f those forms o f government c o u l d p o s s i b l y
w o r k e x c e p t t h e p r o b l e m i s s i m p l y human g r e e d and t h e l u s t f o r power, which always
t r u m p s and o v e r t a k e s any t y p e o f i d e a l i s m i n any s o c i e t y , n o m a t t e r what a c t u a l form

the k i n k s o u t o f t h e s y s t e m " , can and w i l l be a b l e t o s u c c e s s f u l l y g o v e r n ourselves
w i t h o u t God's h e l p o r g u i d a n c e . T h e r e f o r e , t h e r e a s o n God allows e v i l i n a l l of i t ' s
sad and p a i n f u l m a n i f e s t a t i o n s t o c o n t i n u e u n a b a t e d f o r so l o n g , i s so t h a t man can
have a chance t o p r o v e t o h i m s e l f beyond a shadow o f a n ^ d o u b t t h a t he (man) or his
newly-appointed & chosen M a s t e r ( S a t a n ) c a n , i s , or ever w i l l be a b l e t o , s u c c e s s f u l l y
govern His (God Almighty's) p l a n e t a n d / o r H i s p e o p l e ( m a n k i n d ) . The Jehovah Witness
i d e a i s t h a t , God does n o t w a n t t o be a c c u s e d o f " p l a y i n g d i r t y p o o l " by k i l l i n g off
S a t a n and his followers until t h e y have had every l a s t chance t o p r o v e t h e m s e l v e s
worthy o f b e i n g a b l e t o r u l e t h e Kingdom t h e y s t o l e t o anyone's s a t i s f a c t i o n , e x c e p t
p e r h a p s S a t a n ' s h i m s e l f . I w o u l d t a k e t h a t even a s t e p f u r t h e r and say t h a t n o t even
S a t a n w o u l d be happy w i t h t h e r e s u l t , because S a t a n i s so consumed w i t h j e a l o s y o f
God, envying and c o v e t i n g H i s T h r o n e soo b a d l y , t h a t i n t h e e n d , even i f God were t o
j u s t g i v e i t t o him, i n whatever i s l e f t o f S a t a n ' s h e a r t he s t i l l w o u l d n o t be truly
"happy" because he w o u l d know deep down t h a t he stole i t , or a t the very l e a s t , i f i t
was g i v e n him i n s t e a d o f him stealing i t , he d o e s n ' t d e s e r v e i t . He didn't create i t ,
it can NEVER BE HIS, EVEN IF HE AQUIRED "OWNERSHIP" OF IT.

I d o n ' t t h i n k t h e Jehovah's W i t n e s s e s a r e t h a t f a r o f f o f t h e mark w i t h t h a t line


of t h i n k i n g , y e t I t h i n k t h e more commonly h e l d i d e a o f C h r i s t i a n i t y i s more accurate:
God c r e a t e d e v e r y t h i n g f o r His Own p l e a s u r e , and He s h a r e s i t a l l w i t h us because He
knows how much we would t o t a l l y a p p r e c i a t e having i t s h a r e d w i t h us- this i s why God
" c r e a t e d man i n His I m a g e " , so t h a t we w o u l d n a t u r a l l y e n j o y a V [ t h e same t h i n g s He
enjoys. I t i s n ' t a matter of f i g u r i n g o u t who can g o v e r n what b e t t e r t h a n whom, i t i s
a m a t t e r o f f i g u r i n g o u t who and w h a t God I S . WHO God i s , i s "The A l p h a and t h e Omega",
the God o f Gods, t h e A l m i g h t y , t h e Most H i g h , and WHAT He i s , i s LOVE. And LIFE. And
He c r e a t e d us " I n H i s image" because He w a n t s us t o e n j o y w h a t He enjofs- All that He
makes, A l l t h a t He i s . His v e r y n a t u r e i s t o "share" t h i n g s , not to "take" t h i n g s , and
this i s t h e p r o o f o f H i s l o v e . Why w o u l d He need t o " t a k e " a n y t h i n g i f e v e r y t h i n g i s
His i n the f i r s t place? But He "shares" t h i n g s b e c a u s e , when you share, i t gives choice
-if I o f f e r t o s h a r e my p e a n u t - b u t t e r s a n d w i c h w i t h y o u , you have t h e o p p e r t u n i t y t o
say " y e s , I ' l l have some, t h a n k s " o r "no, I d o n ' t want any". This "free w i l l " t o choose
is the basis of l i f e itself. B e c a u s e , w i t h o u t f r e e w i l l , we a r e n o t h i n g more t h a n r o -
b o t s , and a r o b o t has no " l i f e " , i t o n l y a p p e a r s t o . By g i v i n g us f r e e w i l l God gave
us l i f e , and t h a t p u t s us "on a p a r " w i t h Him i n t h e sense t h a t He does t h i n g s t h a t
He c h o o s e s t o do o u t o f H i s own v e r s i o n o f His f r e e w i l l . T h e r e f o r e , " l i f e " and "free
will" a r e i n s e p e r a b l e ; one cannot e x i s t w i t h o u t the o t h e r .

Eve brought d e a t h i n t o t h e w o r l d by l i s t e n i n g t o S a t a n because God d i d n o t choose


to s h a r e t h a t one tree- t h e r e f o r e i t made Eve ( a n d Adam) a t h e i f t o e a t o f i t . "Sharing"

is an a c t o f l o v e , " s t e a l i n g " i s an a c t o f h a t e . Why d i d God n o t w i s h t o s h a r e that


p a r t i c u l a r f r u i t w i t h Eve? Because i t was " H i s " a n d He " d i d n ' t w a n t t o s h a r e " ? Perhaps.
A f t e r a l l , He's G o d , He c a n do w h a t e v e r He w a n t s . B u t I p r o p o s e a n o v e l , p e r h a p s revo-
l u t i o n a r y i d e a t h a t maybe even Z e v i m i g h t n o t a g r e e w i t h : p e r h a p s God w a n t s t o s h a r e
w i t h H i s c h i l d r e n o n l y t h i n g s we w o u l d e n j o y . Perhaps "The T r e e o f t h e Knowledge o f
Good and E v i l " i s s o m e t h i n g we humans w o u l d n o t e n j o y b e c a u s e , who i n t h e i r right
m i n d w o u l d w a n t t o know a b o u t " E v i l " ? B u t p e r h a p s t h e " e v i l " lay i n the very act o f
eating the f r u i t - perhaps i t was no s p e c i a l k i n d o f f r u i t , no d i f f e r e n t t h a n any o t h e r
fruit t r e e g e n e t i c a l l y o r o t h e r w i s e , perhaps t h e s i n l a y i n t h e f a c t God s a i d "don't
eat o f i t ! " and t h e r e f o r e , t o e a t t h e f r u i t was s t e a l i n g . I t was God's. I t h i n k i t all
ties i n w i t h w h a t God meant when He s a i d , " I am a j e a l o u s God"- He d i d n o t mean He was
a " c o v e t e o u s " G o d , because how c a n y o u c o v e t w h a t i s a l w a y s y o u r s t o b e g i n w i t h ? God
wanted H i s c h i l d r e n t o know Who made them and Who t h e i r P a r e n t i s I t h a t t h e y may n o t
be b a s t a r d c h i l d r e n , o f no i m p o r t a n c e , o f shame, b e l o n g i n g t o n o o n e , b e l o n g i n g t o an
i n t e r l o p e r , an a d u l t e r e r , an enemy. B e l o n g i n g t o S a t a n .

It i s God's n a t u r e t o s h a r e . E v e r y t h i n g i s H I S . T h e r e f o r e , NOTHING BELONGS TO US.


In l i g h t o f t h i s , communism makes s e n s e , s i n c e communism i s based on communal s h a r i n g .
C h r i s t i a n s , NOMATTER WHAT GOVERNMENT THEY ARE UNDER and NOMATTER WHAT COUNTRY THEY
ARE CITIZENS OF, s h o u l d p r a c t i c e communism w i t h each o t h e r because i t i s t h e b a s i s
of C h r i s t i a n i t y . T h i s i s why t h a A p o s t l e Paul g o t u p s e t and a d m o n i s h e d t h e Church
when he d i s c o v e r e d C h r i s t i a n s w e r e s e t t l i n g disputes " i n heathen c o u r t s " instead o f
" w i t h i n t h e c h u r c h " . I c a n ' t s a y i t enough- I F YOU ARE A TRUE CHRISTIAN, BY DEFENITION
YOU ARE A COMMUNIST, ELSE YE BE NOT A TRUE CHRISTIAN, more on t h i s l a t e r , I am b e i n g

in g e n e r a l and communism i n p a r t i c u l a r , when Z e v i made t h e p o i n t t h a t man's v e r s i o n


of "communism" as i t e x i s t s as a g o v e r n m e n t t o d a y i s n o t t h e same as w h a t God intended
as "communism", and t h a t C h r i s t i a n s need t o be p r a c t i c i n g an a l t o g e t h e r d i f f e r e n t kind
of "communism" w i t h each o t h e r . I s o r t o f i n t e r r u p t e d Z e v i and more o r l e s s finished
his t h o u g h t s , o r what i t was he was t r y i n g t o s a y , f o r him by s a y i n g : "...Because
n o t h i n g b e l o n g s t o us anyways i n the f i r s t p l a c e , up t o and i n c l u d i n g o u r own lives.
And t h a t i s w h a t I b e l i e v e makes J e s u s C h r i s t t h e ' U l t i m a t e Communist': because He
was t r y i n g t o show us t h a t Love i s s o m e t h i n g t o be s h a r e d and t h a t n o t h i n g b e l o n g s t o
us a n y w a y s , up t o and i n c l u d i n g o u r own lives- and n o t o n l y t h a t , b u t t h a t He w o u l d
PROVE I T by GIVING UP HIS OWN L I F E t o US!" T h a t was t h e comment I made w h i c h p r o m p t e d
Z e v i t o e x c l a i m , " T h a t ' s I T ! T h a t ' s w h a t I ' v e been t r y i n g t o s a y ! You need t o go w r i t e
t h a t down!" T h a t was p r e t t y much t h e end o f t h e c o n v e r s a t i o n as I remember i t ; i f any-
t h i n g e l s e o f i m p o r t a n c e was s a i d p e r t a i n i n g t o t h i s topic during that conversation,
y o u w o u l d have t o ask Z e v i , s i n c e d r u g s & a l c o h o l has reduced.my b r a i n ' s memory t o a
n e a r - A l t z h e i m e r ' s s t a t e sometimes ( I have t h e s e w i e r d " b l a n k s p o t s " i n my memory, as
if someone r e c o r d e d a m u s i c c a s s e t t e , t h e n w e n t and r a n d o m l y e r a s e d 10 o r 20-second
s p o t s i n t h e m i d d l e o f c e r t a i n songs on t h e t a p e ) . However, I w a n t t o t a k e t h i s concept
one s t e p f u r t h e r b e f o r e I end t h i s s e c t i o n o f t h e p a p e r , i n t o an a r e a I d i d n ' t discuss
w i t h Z e v i and w h i c h I am n o t s u r e he w o u l d a g r e e w i t h : i n general, Christians like to
emphasize t h a t J e s u s was God, t h a t i t was God t h a t gave H i s Own life t o save u s . B u t
I d o n ' t t h i n k C h r i s t i a n s p u t enough emphasis on t h e f a c t t h a t Jesus was a man, and I
do n o t t h i n k most C h r i s t i a n s u n d e r s t a n d why t h i s i s i m p o r t a n t , so I w o u l d l i k e t o t a k e
this o p p e r t u n i t y t o e x p l a i n e x a c t l y why i tis, n o t o n l y i m p o r t a n t , b u t maybe THE most

came t o me, and I was g o i n g t o make "Phase I I " be a l l a b o u t t h e s e v a r i o u s e x a m p l e s .
B u t , h a v i n g s a i d my " p r e - t y p i n g p r a y e r " , I r e a l i z e d t h a t when I s t a r t e d t h i s paper,
during a l i t t l e mini-speech I i n c l u d e d a b o u t my need t o a v o i d " b e i n g p r i d e f u l " , I
a l s o m e n t i o n e d I w o u l d a v o i d " g o i n g o f f on t a n g e n t s " . So I decided t o s t i c k t o what
I said e a r l i e r i n this p a p e r and o u t l i n e w h a t I b e l i e v e i s a B i b l i c a l and viable way
for Christians to live and a c t t o g e t h e r i n a c o m m u n i s t i c way. Then, I w i l l add a
"Phase I I I " o f t h i s paper, which w i l l be t h e i d e a s a b o u t Jesus I j u s t m e n t i o n e d that
I b e l i e v e r e l a t e t o communism.

The communistic living s t r u c t u r e I propose i s what I c a l l "Small L i v i n g Units".


I believe C h r i s t i a n s should l i v e t o g e t h e r i n s m a l l g r o u p s . When I say " s m a l l " , I mean
a dozen ( 1 2 ) o r l e s s p e r g r o u p , p e r h o u s e . P r o b a b l y l e s s t h a n a dozen w o u l d be prefer-
r a b l e , l i k e maybe s i x o r e i g h t p e o p l e . The g r o u p s h o u l d be s m a l l t o e n c o u r a g e account-
a b i l i t y and p r e v e n t " f a k e s " coming i n t o t h e g r o u p , as m e n t i o n e d i n t h e Book o f J u d e ,
V e r s e # 4 . I a l s o b e l i e v e i t i s a d v i s a b l e t o s e p e r a t e newer C h r i s t i a n s f r o m " E l d e r s "
i n t h e sense t h a t , a t l e a s t one " E l d e r " s h o u l d l i v e among a g r o u p o f newer C h r i s t i a n s ,
but i f a g r o u p i n c l u d e s many m a r r i e d c o u p l e s living under one r o o f , the married couples
s h o u l d be " i n t o t h e meat o f i t " ( " E l d e r " C h r i s t i a n s ) because newer C h r i s t i a n s o n l y "into
the m i l k o f i t " having several married couples living u n d e r one r o o f , may encourage
a d u l t e r o u s t e m p t a t i o n s . And o f c o u r s e , as f o r n o n - m a r r i e d s , i t s h o u l d be women i n one
house and men i n t h e o t h e r , o r a t t h e v e r y l e a s t , women d i v i d e d i n t o a s o r t o f " o f f
limits" s e c t i o n o f t h e house w i t h t h e men i n a l i k e w i s e seperated p a r t o f the house,
w i t h a "common a r e a " like l i v i n g r o o m & d i n i n g areas being the only place of general
m i x i n g o f t h e sexes i n s o c i a l s i t u a t i o n s . But above a l l , " s m a l l i s b e t t e r " i s my main
i d e * a b o u t g r o u p - s i z e o f a c o m r u i n a l l y - l i v i n g C h r i s t i a n g r o u p . W i t h many p e o p l e i n
l a r g e numbers comes a n n o n y m i t y , and annonymous m i n d s e t breeds a c t i n g o u t t e m t a t i o n s
(sin). I f t h e r e i s o n l y f i v e p e o p l e , i t ' s s a f e t o say t h a t none o f t h o s e f i v e people
can r e a l l y " h i d e " a n y t h i n g f r o m each o t h e r f o r l o n g . . . b u t f i f t y people? I f I live in
a c o m m u n i s t i c - C h r i s t i a n g r o u p and I'm i n t h e c l o s e t o r t h e b a t h r o o m o r l o c k e d i n my
bedroom f o r two o r t h r e e h o u r s , am I i n t h e r e r e a d i n g my B i b l e o r am I i n there read-
ing my p o r n o magazine? And with f i f t y p e o p l e , who i s even g o i n g t o check on me to
f i n d o u t ? So, "small i s b e t t e r " i s my mantra.

S e c o n d l y , t h e r e s h o u l d be no a r g u i n g o v e r who the "leader" i s . In f a c t , there IS


no "leader" i n a communistic-Christian l i v i n g s t r u c t u r e . JESUS i s t h e " l e a d e r " . A l -
though I was never r e a l l y c o n s i d e r e d a " p a r t o f the group" because o f my sinful ten-
d e n c i e s , I s p e n t a l o t o f t i m e w i t h Z e v i ' s f o r m e r g r o u p "The B r o t h e r s " and t h e communist-
ic living s e t - u p t h e y had ( i f you could c a l l i t t h a t ) i n F o r t C o l l i n s we a l l just re-
f e r r e d t o as "The Howes S t . House" o r "The Meldrum House", and a g i a n t , all-consuming

c o l l a p s e , w i t h e v e r y b o d y l e a v i n g t h e communal s t r u c t u r e and a l l g o i n g t h e i r seperate

when one l e a d e r d i e d and t h e o t h e r l e a d e r " f e l t he c o u l d no l o n g e r p e r f o r m d u t i e s as
church l e a d e r due t o f a m i l y issues" (something t o do w i t h n e e d i n g t o f o c u s more on
raising his children).

To be a s u c c e s s f u l g r o u p , s t r i f e and c o n t e n t i o n among members m u s t be recognized


for what i t i s : a s t r a t e g y o f t h e d e v i l t o " d i v i d e & conquer" C h r i s t i a n s . T r u s t jj>
essential i n a communistic-Christian s e t t i n g . Outsiders should be w e l c o m e d , b u t n o t
a u t o m a t i c a l l y a c c e p t e d i n t o t h e g r o u p based on c r e d e n t i a l s from other Christians

A n g e l s " have an i n i t i a t i o n r i t e f o r new members known as " p r o s p e c t i n g " - t h i s i s a per-
iod of time, lasting s e v e r a l months t o , more o f t e n t h a n n o t , s e v e r a l y e a r s , w h e r e t h e
p o t e n t i a l new member must " p r o v e h i m s e l f w o r t h y " by f i r s t g e t t i n g t o know a l l t h e othefc
a c t u a l members, t h e n g o i n g through a series o f " l o y a l t y t e s t s " t o prove they deserve t o
be a f u l l - f l e d g e d member. New members o f a c o m m u n i s t i c - C h r i s t i a n l i v i n g group should
do s o m e t h i n g s i m i l a r , b u t w i t h a sense o f l o v e , p a t i e n c e , and p e r h a p s even g u i d e a n c e
& e n c o r a g e m e n t f o r new C h r i s t i a n s " i n t h e m i l k o f i t " . Members o f t h e g r o u p s h o u l d n o t
live i n fear of "losing status" by c o n f e s s i n g s i n s t o each o t h e r , l i k e I saw happen i n
the F o r t C o l l i n s g r o u p Z e v i was a p a r t o f . As I ' v e m e n t i o n e d t o Z e v i on s e v e r a l occas-
i o n s , t h e s a d y e t humorous r e s u l t ( a tleast I thought i t was humorous) o f h i d i n g sins
f r o m each o t h e r i s t h a t t h e y w o u l d a l l come t o me and " c o n f e s s " w h a t t h e y d i d o r were

t o f i n d . No "dogma", no " d e n o m i n a t i o n s " no o p i n i o n s o f any s o r t , j u s t a s i m p l e message
l i k e t h a t f o r some p o o r d r u g - a d d i c t o r s o o n - t o - b e - d i v o r c e d person a t t h e end o f * t h e i r
r o p e s o t o speak t o f i n d and p o n d e r , and p e r h a p s g i v e them h o p e . B u t I see n o t h i n g

of "opinion" i n i t b u t i t i s m o s t l y p o s i t i v e , and I t h i n k a thousand c o p i e s o f t h i s
