Chyna is a little sweetheart who loves attention and being held so she can give
kisses all over my face. Out of all the puppies her personality is the best. She is very
playful and her tail is always wagging back and forth and she is always tackling her
litter mates and picking on them. She loves being around people and does not have
a shy bone in her body. She is very light gray and white and her eyes are a dark
green color as of now, with one eye lighter green than the other, but is very hard to
tell in the pictures. She is a big eater and is eating three times a day and she eats
VERY well. She will not be ready to go until she is 8 weeks old on March 25th. She
will be vet checked, current on shots, de wormed several times, started on flea
prevention. She comes with a 1 year health guarantee covering all birth defects, a

Ivory has the best personality from her litter. She is always trying to escape and will
whine and howl until she gets her way. She's a very big girl and has always been the
biggest puppy of the litter. She's playful and loves to chew on fingers and socked
feet! She has just started to eat and eats well already. She is pure White and she
has one dark eye and one eye that is half Blue, half dark green. Her dam has very
strong Champion lines and comes from long line of "excellent" and "good" hip and

I have for adoption a four year old Siberian Husky female named Waya. I was
supposed to house Waya for a month but her former owner never came back to get
and after six months with no contact, I need find this baby a forever home. Waya is
very sweet and her speciality is nose kisses. Waya does have special needs and will
need a loving patient person to be her new mommy or daddy. Waya has food
aggression. She also has very sensitive nails and hates them trimmed, she will try to
snap when trimming her nails so I do recommend a muzzle. Waya suffers from food
allergies and these can at times become severe but is usually corrected with a food
change. The most important thing to know about Waya is that (according to my vet)
Waya shows signs of former abuse. Waya must be in a quiet home. She does not
do well with loud noises of any kind and will hide for hours if she hears something
that scares her. Waya will not be placed in a home with other dogs unless they meet
ahead of time because Waya does not like most other dogs. However there does
seem to be exceptions so if a test to check for compatibility were done first and all
went fine, Waya of course could go to a home with another animal. Waya does fine
around cats as long as they do run from her. Waya is a great girl who loves to walk
and give kisses. This baby needs a forever home with someone that will give her

About Our Shelter...

The Columbiana County Dog Pound is a small, rural shelter in eastern Ohio. At one
time, only a small percentage of the dogs entering the Pound made it out alive. Now,
thanks to the vision of the County Commissioners, the Pound staff, and a dedicated
group of volunteers, the Pound has become a source of hope. It is a place where
lives are saved, not lost.
Columbiana was one of the first counties in the state to require that all dogs be
spayed/neutered before leaving the Pound. This policy addresses the pet
overpopulation problem at its source.
So take a look at our pooches and meet the dog of your dreams!

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption fee is $100, which includes a DHLPP vaccine, a rabies vaccine, de-
worming, an Ohio dog license, and spay/neuter surgery. Additional low-cost vet care
is available upon request.
Approved rescue groups can pull dogs at reduced fees.

Our Adoption Process...

To be considered you must request and complete an adoption application. Once
your application has been verified you can set up a time to meet our rescues. You
must agree to a home visit before the pet can be adopted. You must also agree to a
follow-up visit after adoption. Our adoption donations vary depending on which
rescue you are interested in. Once an adoption has taken place we will make
ourselves available to you for any issues you may have regarding the transition. To
date all of our rescues have had a smooth transition process with little or no
concerns.
