Scope
This document will include a company profile of IT Talk and will thereafter go
further into discussing the proposed solution and the benefits thereof. It will also
cover some customer related issues that may be of critical importance to the
hospitality industry.
Audience
This proposal is intended for staff in decision making capacity, in charge of Customer
Relations and Information Technology or Network Administration.

IT Talk is a 100% black owned information and communications technology (ICT)
company founded by Lynton and Janine Klassen. Our expert management team has
more than 30 years experience in the ICT industry. We are passionate about

scanners, copiers, digital cameras, etc.
CCTV Systems
Close Circuit Television Systems are excellent surveillance and monitoring tools to
improve the security of your business. Our systems are able to integrate with your
existing coverage zones where required.
Janine Klassen
Janine is our Administrative Operations Manager responsible for iBurst and Human
Resource Management in IT Talk as a whole. Janine comes with a strong
background in financial and office management. She has 9 years experience in the
telecommunications industry including the management of the administration of the
regional offices of MTN SA in the Free State.
Graham Field
Graham is our Technical Operations Manager responsible for all technical issues and
project management on electronic and radio operations on building projects. Graham
has 18 years experience in the Telecom’s industry. He has experience with the
installation and maintenance of a vast number of Telecom systems including Radio,
TV and Transmission equipment. He also has extensive project management
experience both at operations and financial level.

Proposal
Introduction
IT Talk would hereby like to take the opportunity to propose a solution for Wifi
Hotspot connectivity for the guests of the Tourism Industry.
It has come to our attention that clients are in need of a WISP (Wireless Internet
Service Provider) to supply them with the last mile connect for their guests to be able
to connect to the internet at all times, and at an affordable cost to them. It has also
been established that this solution should be one with a long term value to the client
and its guests. It is with this in mind that IT Talk has designed a custom solution for
the benefit of the client and especially their guests, to ensure network connection
availability at the most efficient rate regarding cost to company and satisfaction of
guests, with a SLA (Service Level Agreement) underlining these critical aspects of
the network/ hotspot.
Profit- Share Clients: These clients operate a wireless hotspot from their
premises and share the profits earned monthly with IT Talk. All hardware is
provided and maintained by IT Talk. The client will use the custom POS
system to manage the selling and printing of itCell vouchers. IT Talk will
manage the technical aspect of the itCELL, as well as the administration and
accounting thereof. The client is to provide their own internet broadband
connection to which IT Talk will provide the last mile connect, i.e. itCELL.

Rental/ Lease Clients: These clients operate a wireless hotspot from their
premises and offer the services to their customers at a rate determined by
them. They lease the equipment from IT Talk at a rate determined and agreed
upon by both parties. As with the previous client, the equipment remains the
property of IT Talk and will be maintained and serviced by IT Talk. The client
will still be able to charge their customers as per the “Profit-Share Client”, but
will only pay a lease/ rental amount per month for a set period of time
(normally 24 months minimum).
For computer and internet access to users who do not have wireless devices,
the client would need to provide a few PC’s at their cost, which would be fitted
with wireless transceivers or Ethernet fly leads by IT Talk for access to the
itCELL.
itCELL vouchers can be bought on a time limit with uncapped basis. Either
way the client will determine the bandwidth used by the user. Should the
client reach the cap, they will make enough money to afford the extra
bandwidth used.
Setup costs will be discussed at the time of survey and is once off. This will
include the hardware and installation of the equipment on the client’s
premises. The installation includes customizing the unit to your business
model (Profit-Share). The Installation fee also excludes any extender units
which may be necessary to increase the coverage footprint over a larger area.
The monthly cost will be determined by the size of the itCELL and the amount
of activities on site. For the “Profit-Share Client” there are no monthly costs
involved, although the client will be required to cover the monthly premium/
rate of their broadband connection at all times.

The agreement will be signed for a period of 5 (five) years and reviewed on a
6 (six) monthly basis for the first year, thereafter yearly for the rest of the
term. This will ensure customer satisfaction and continual improvement on the
part of service provisioning. Either party to the agreement can terminate it on
a 1 (one) month notice basis. IT TALK will then remove all CPE (client
premises equipment) from the property at no charge. Any structural damages
by means of drilling holes and glue strips (not limited to this) at installation of
equipment will be repaired at the cost of the client and IT TALK will not be
held responsible/ liable for this.

This proposal was specifically drafted for the unique needs of the client in their
continual effort to strive towards excellent customer service and delivery. IT Talk
