Purpose

The purpose of this document is to introduce IT Talk as a wireless solutions company

and to propose a Wifi Hotspot solution to anyone in the service and hospitality
industry for the purpose of keeping their guests/ customers connected to the internet.
Thus enabling them to browse the internet, keep up to date with their emails and latest
news in and around South Africa, and also to enable them to connect to their office
LAN via VPN when on business trips.

Scope

This document will include a company profile of IT Talk and will thereafter go
further into discussing the proposed solution and the benefits thereof. It will also
cover some customer related issues that may be of critical importance to the
hospitality industry.

This proposal is intended for staff in decision making capacity, in charge of Customer
Relations and Information Technology or Network Administration.

Wireless Networks
Within many businesses there is an increasing need to reduce and eliminate cabling,
wiring, switches, adaptors and various types of connections. Through our wireless
network technology you can:
• Access your existing LAN network without cumbersome cables from anywhere in
the building
• Expand or set up new wireless networks
• Seamlessly and easily upgrade to new technology without the need to change
cabling and other connectivity hardware
Our wireless technology will allow you to connect to your internet connection from
anywhere in your building. We design and install your network customised to your
premises or area you want to cover. We do ADLS to Wifi, HSDPA to Wifi, and GSM
repeaters for network operators (MTN, Vodacom, Cell C). Our IT Cell® solution has
been specifically developed to meet the wireless networking needs of our clients.

Wireless Broadband internet access

We provide wireless, high speed internet access through either iBurst or Vodacom
broadband services. We offer a range of package ranging from pay as you use to
data bundles of various sizes. Our data bundles range from 40Mb to 10Gig per
month. We have the iBurst or Vodacom wireless broadband packages that will suite
your needs.
Web Design
We provide cost effective web design services for standard web sites.

Office IT Networks
We supply, install and maintain office IT infrastructure such as servers, cabling, data
points, etc.

PABX Systems
We supply, install and maintain various types of PABX systems including Jupiter
Boxes, Soft PABX (computer based) and extensions.

Electronics Retailing
Computer hardware and software
We supply an extensive selection of electronic hardware brands, imaging devices
and operating systems. Our product range includes laptops, desktops, printers,
scanners, copiers, digital cameras, etc.

Business Safety Solutions

Fire Detection Systems

We provide fire detection systems to suite the specific needs of your business. Our
passive fire and smoke detection and censoring equipment are excellent preventative
measures against total loss due to fire.

CCTV Systems
Close Circuit Television Systems are excellent surveillance and monitoring tools to
improve the security of your business. Our systems are able to integrate with your
existing coverage zones where required.

Access Control Systems

Controlling access to your premises is an important safety aspect. We supply and
install various types of scanning devises such as card scanners and finger print

Lynton Klassen
Lynton is our general manager responsible for all operational aspects of IT Talk and
its sub divisions, and investigating new markets and products. He has a background
in mechanical engineering. He has 6 years experience in the telecommunications
industry at regional supervisory level with MTN South Africa. Lynton also has
experience and qualifications as an ISO 9001:2000 auditor.

Janine Klassen
Janine is our Administrative Operations Manager responsible for iBurst and Human
Resource Management in IT Talk as a whole. Janine comes with a strong
background in financial and office management. She has 9 years experience in the
telecommunications industry including the management of the administration of the
regional offices of MTN SA in the Free State.

Graham Field
Graham is our Technical Operations Manager responsible for all technical issues and
project management on electronic and radio operations on building projects. Graham
has 18 years experience in the Telecom’s industry. He has experience with the
installation and maintenance of a vast number of Telecom systems including Radio,
TV and Transmission equipment. He also has extensive project management
experience both at operations and financial level.

Proposal
Introduction
IT Talk would hereby like to take the opportunity to propose a solution for Wifi
Hotspot connectivity for the guests of the Tourism Industry.

It has come to our attention that clients are in need of a WISP (Wireless Internet
Service Provider) to supply them with the last mile connect for their guests to be able
to connect to the internet at all times, and at an affordable cost to them. It has also
been established that this solution should be one with a long term value to the client
and its guests. It is with this in mind that IT Talk has designed a custom solution for
the benefit of the client and especially their guests, to ensure network connection
availability at the most efficient rate regarding cost to company and satisfaction of
guests, with a SLA (Service Level Agreement) underlining these critical aspects of
the network/ hotspot.

1. WHO QUALIFIES AS AN itCELL CLIENT?

All companies wanting to offer internet services to their customers or guests

i.e. hotels, guest houses, lodges, coffee shops, restaurants, public libraries,
conference facilities.

2. WHAT TYPE OF itCELL CLIENTS DOES IT TALK HAVE?

Profit- Share Clients: These clients operate a wireless hotspot from their
premises and share the profits earned monthly with IT Talk. All hardware is
provided and maintained by IT Talk. The client will use the custom POS
system to manage the selling and printing of itCell vouchers. IT Talk will
manage the technical aspect of the itCELL, as well as the administration and
accounting thereof. The client is to provide their own internet broadband
connection to which IT Talk will provide the last mile connect, i.e. itCELL.

Rental/ Lease Clients: These clients operate a wireless hotspot from their
premises and offer the services to their customers at a rate determined by
them. They lease the equipment from IT Talk at a rate determined and agreed
upon by both parties. As with the previous client, the equipment remains the
property of IT Talk and will be maintained and serviced by IT Talk. The client
will still be able to charge their customers as per the “Profit-Share Client”, but
will only pay a lease/ rental amount per month for a set period of time
(normally 24 months minimum).

3. WHAT TYPE OF EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?

No additional hardware is needed. IT TALK will provide all the hardware

necessary. An itCELL will consist of a Managed Hotspot with Access Point (AP)
and built- in POS system for sales, pre-configured with the rates. This will
allow users to connect automatically, but will be forced to log on with
credentials, obtained from voucher, to browse the internet.

For computer and internet access to users who do not have wireless devices,
the client would need to provide a few PC’s at their cost, which would be fitted
with wireless transceivers or Ethernet fly leads by IT Talk for access to the
itCELL.

4. WHAT DOES IT TALK GIVE FOR FREE?

A complete wireless hotspot solution is provided free of charge. IT Talk will

provide all the necessary hardware to provide the best and widest coverage
footprint needed.

The hardware remains the property of IT TALK.

5. HOW MUCH OF MY BANDWIDTH GETS USED?

itCELL vouchers can be bought on a time limit with uncapped basis. Either
way the client will determine the bandwidth used by the user. Should the
client reach the cap, they will make enough money to afford the extra
bandwidth used.

6. WHAT ARE MY SETUP COSTS?

Setup costs will be discussed at the time of survey and is once off. This will
include the hardware and installation of the equipment on the client’s
premises. The installation includes customizing the unit to your business
model (Profit-Share). The Installation fee also excludes any extender units
which may be necessary to increase the coverage footprint over a larger area.

7. WHAT ARE THE MONTHLY COSTS?

The monthly cost will be determined by the size of the itCELL and the amount
of activities on site. For the “Profit-Share Client” there are no monthly costs
involved, although the client will be required to cover the monthly premium/
rate of their broadband connection at all times.

8. HOW MUCH WILL THIS COST MY CUSTOMER?

Below is an example of a break-down of the tariffs:

9. HOW LONG DO I TIE MYSELF IN FOR?

The agreement will be signed for a period of 5 (five) years and reviewed on a
6 (six) monthly basis for the first year, thereafter yearly for the rest of the
term. This will ensure customer satisfaction and continual improvement on the
part of service provisioning. Either party to the agreement can terminate it on
a 1 (one) month notice basis. IT TALK will then remove all CPE (client
premises equipment) from the property at no charge. Any structural damages
by means of drilling holes and glue strips (not limited to this) at installation of
equipment will be repaired at the cost of the client and IT TALK will not be
held responsible/ liable for this.

10.HOW IS THE itCELL OF BENEFIT TO ME?

Wifi hotspot.

• Generate additional revenue from the day it is installed, not only by raising
your occupancy level, but also through the percentage of income you can
generate by selling vouchers to your customers.
• Create a private network for your own use.
• Differentiate yourself from your competitors with this service. By using our
Marketing support, you can break into new markets and increase hire of
facilities.
• Users logon at a page displaying your website – free marketing.
• There are no added overheads, as IT TALK manages the administrative as
well as accounting side of the hotspot.
• Customers buy cash or get billed on their hotel account, eliminating
unnecessary transaction costs.
• IT TALK offers a consistent and continually improved customer experience
and satisfaction at all our itCELL’s.
• itCELL marketing material will make your site visible as a Wifi Hotspot
• Hotel management will be offered the use of the itCELL for internet
connectivity with one of the built- in user accounts.
• The client is carefree. IT Talk install, support and check the network at
each site.

11.WHAT IS THE RANGE THIS UNIT CAN TRANSMIT?

Generally this measure comes as a regulated one – regarding the original

standard equipment – at 100mW output which will cover indoors between
50m and 100m. This depends on many things that can cause an obstruction
or reflects the signal, which may cause the footprint to shrink. IT TALK has
trained and experienced Radio Engineers who are very well equipped to
handle RF propagation.
 12.WHAT MORE FROM IT TALK IS ON OFFER?

IT Talk can convert your current 3G connection to Wifi, spreading it through

your building and connecting your employees or household. Please contact us
