“Enabling Port And Shipping Leaders To Define Regional Growth”

Dear Port And Shipping Professional,

How will you and your peers take your port to the next level of competitiveness? Moreover, how will you
attract investment into your port? Attract more shipping customers? Increase efficiency? Manage
warehouses effectively? Comply with regulations with ease? Attract and develop port management talent?

No one person can answer all of these questions. That is why we will gather leading international and regional
professionals together under one roof to cover the issues most important to you and your peers and to answer
these important questions.

To provide a platform for debate in this booming market, IIR is pleased to announce the Ports Management
And Shipping Congress 2008.

This industry leading congress, running in the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre alongside International
Freight Week (www.internationalfreightweek.com), has already been lauded by industry experts as a forum
with the potential to change the way port management is executed throughout the Middle East, whose ripple
effect will decrease costs and substantially increase quality and throughput for all participants.

What is currently happening in the Port Management And Shipping Industry?

The news reports state:
“Economic growth is driving seaport expansion in the Middle East valued at over US$33 billion in an attempt to
handle record cargo levels, according to industry experts.”

“Jebel Ali expects to increase capacity from a current 11 million twenty-foot equivalent units to 80 million by
2030. The port is already expected to add a further five million units by early next year.”

“The biggest seaport being planned is Qatar’s New Mesaieed Port (US$5.5 billion), heading a top ten of new or
expansion port projects.”

Book your place now to ensure your participation in this essential event! I look forward to seeing you there.

Best Regards,

Keith Parker
