:From the tiny waiting areaoutside to the entire decor inside, a goodattempt has been made to do justice to the geographical theme of the restaurant. The seating is of two kinds – low floor andregular, and the cushions are bright andcomfortable. The staff also follow the theme with their colourful pagdis. The fin-ishing touch is in the form of the hand-wash, which moves away from the regularfingerbowl to a person pouring the waterfor you to wash your hands.R

e Map: The welcoming ‘Padharo Sa’section with Chaanch and Jaljeera is fol-lowed by the savouries (Farsaan) thatincluded the dhokla, Batata vada andMasala Bati among others. The maincourse consists of gravies – dal, gatta, kadi and to go with it naan, roti and rice. There’s also a Moong Dal Khichdi and avariety of chutneys. The road ends withdesserts in the form of burfi and Lapsi. R

:We started with the Pa-neer Kalimirch Tikka, and the HaryaaliAloo, both of which turned out to be ex-cellent. The Batata Vada was also ap-preciated. The Dal-Bati was mildly spicyand good enough for multiple helpings. The Gujarati Kadi was sour, sweet andspicy and was much in demand. Butclearly, the winner was the Jaipuri Gattawith its rich, thick and spicy gravy.Among the desserts, the Coconut Burfiwas the pick of the lot.R

s:The Khaman Dhokla wasspongy enough but very dry. The GobiMasala turned out to be too spicy andlacking any other flavour. The MarwariKadi was also too bland, and lacked thesour, tangy flavours associated with it.The Aloo Tamatar Rasawaala didn’tleave any good impressions either.Among the desserts, the Marwadi Lapsi, made of broken wheat, was quite a dis-appointment.S

e: The high speed delivery mecha-nism of one dish after another couldoverwhelm you, but if you let that pass, the service would rate as one of the best you’d have encountered. With smiling faces, they insist on serving you moreand when you’re finished, pleasantly askif everything was to your satisfaction.V

NEW RESEARCHhas indicated that calci-um supplements increase the risk of heartattacks, in older women. The findings sug-gest that their use in managing osteoporo-sis should be re-assessed. Calcium sup-plements are often prescribed to older(postmenopausal) women to maintainbone health. Sometimes they are com-bined with vitamin D, but it’s still unclearwhether taking calcium supplements, withor without vitamin D, can affect the heart. A team of researchers, led by Profes-sor Ian Reid at the University of Auckland,re-analysed the results of the initial studycarried out by Women’s Health Initiative, to provide the best current estimate of theeffects of calcium supplements. Theyanalysed data from 16,718 women whowere not taking calcium supplements at the start of the trial and found that thoseallocated to combined calcium and vita-min D supplements were at an increasedrisk of cardiovascular events, especiallyheart attack. By contrast, in women whowere taking calcium supplements at thestart of the trial, combined calcium and vi- tamin D supplements did not alter theircardiovascular risk.

CALCIUM SUPPLEMENTS UP HEART ATTACK RISK IN WOMEN
A STUDY HAS found that men whosering fingers are longer than their in-dex fingers are seen as better betsby women. In contrast those seen as the wimpier sorts have longer indexfingers. It is thought that exposure to high levels of testosterone in thewomb has a long-lasting effect onfinger-length — and on looks. Thestudy is the latest in a long line tolink the shape of a man's hands withhis path in life, reports the DailyMail. British, French and Swiss re-searchers photographed 49 young men and measured the length of  their ring and index fingers. Theyalso recorded their voices and tookswabs to capture general odour. They then showed a group of women the photos and asked them to rate the men's looks. Thosewhose ring fingers were longer than their index fingers were more likely to win the women's approval. Theywere seen as good prospects forboth a fling and a long-term relation-ship. For instance, scientists believe the longer a man's ring finger is,compared to his index finger, thericher he is likely to be. They claimhe is also likely to be a promiscuous, extroverted go-getter with strong muscles and has a greater likeli-hood of playing a musical instru-ment. Unfortunately, such men alsohave a higher chance of ending up in prison, being murdered or going mad.— ANI
