How to do this:
FirstͶ

Find something that interested you about the novel (make an observation) and try to prove to me
something about that which interested you. For example:

a? Carroll portrays Alice as a bisexual because X, Y, and Z͙

a? ahe Caterpillar serves as Alice͛s ͞fairy God mother͟ because X, Y, and Z͙

If either of these are your argument you need to come up with X,Y, and ZͶthe evidence that proves
your argument is correct. ahe evidence is examples from the text (direct quotes and/or paraphrases).
If you don͛t have evidence then you don͛t have an argument. ahis comprises your ͞original analysis.͟

Read through articles of literary criticism (like the articles you taught to the class) and find experts
that believe and argue that same or similar things they you are arguing in your original analysis.
Incorporate direct quotes and/or paraphrases from   2 articles of criticism to strengthen your
own argument. Remember there is strength in numbers. ahis comprises your ͞researched analysis.͟
