Here is wisdom: let him who has understanding calculate the number
of the beast, for the number is that of a man;
and his number is six hundred and sixty-six.
Revelation 13:18, NASU

How fascinating that John should first preface this verse with the
declaration, “Here is wisdom!”

The red flag for students and translators shows up with the three
“numbers”. They aren’t “numbers”! They are what appear to be
three, disconnected Greek letters: “chi”, “xi” and “stigma” (a ligature
of lunate sigma and tau)—

Why did John do this?

Apparently, the L-rd Jesus was giving him a descriptor of some kind. What kind? Perhaps we can know
that from the phrase, “count the number”. “Count the number” means there should be a number
coming next. But chi, xi and sigma are not numbers, they’re letters. How do we get “numbers”?

Can you get numbers out of 3 Greek letters? Yes. Greek, like Hebrew, ascribes numeric values to each
letter, known as “Gematria”, as recorded in Agrippa’s Three Books of Occult Philosophy. When you add
up the gematriaic values of chi (600), xi (60) and sigma (6), you get the number “666”.

“6” is deduced by scholars to be the number of “man” and “incompleteness” (1 less than the perfection
of “7”) as is evidenced by man’s creation on the 6th Day:
Genesis 1:26-31

26 Then G-d(1) said, “Let Us make man in Our Image, according to Our Likeness; and let them rule
over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the Earth, and
over every creeping thing that creeps on the Earth.”

27 G-d created man in His own Image, in the Image of G-d He created him; male and female He
created them.

28 G-d blessed them; and G-d said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the Earth, and subdue it;
and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on
the Earth.”

29 Then G-d said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the
Earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you;

30 and to every beast of the Earth and to every bird of the sky and to everything that moves on the
earth which has life, I have given every green plant for food”; and it was so.

31 G-d saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was
morning, the sixth day.

Obviously, the number “666” is the ultimate rule of the ultimate, incomplete, blasphemously arrogant
man.

Except there’s one problem: nowhere else in the Bible is Gematria required for interpreting what the
Holy Spirit inspired.

In fact, requiring the use of this obscure, occultic ritual (used in the Hebrew practice of “Kabbalah”—a
movement made famous by the renowned Biblical scholar “Madonna”) is contrary to the very core
teachings of Scripture. Claiming that “secret knowledge” is required for Salvation is what the Gnostic
heresy was all about. It survives today in secret societies like the Masons or “Skull and Bones”, but the
Word of G-d was given by Jesus Christ to confound the “keepers of knowledge”:

I Corinthians 1:22-25

22 For indeed Jews ask for signs and Greeks search for wisdom;

23 but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness,

24 but to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the Power of G-d and the Wisdom of
G-d.

25 Because the Foolishness of G-d is wiser than men, and the Weakness of G-d is stronger than men.

NASU (capitalization and abbreviation added)

Luke 10:21

21 At that very time He rejoiced greatly in the Holy Spirit, and said, “I praise You, O Father, L-rd of
Heaven and Earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed
them to infants. Yes, Father, for this way was well-pleasing in Your Sight!”

NASU (capitalization and abbreviation added)

Let’s look at the phrase again: “count the number”; pseefisátoo tón arithmón. Does it say “count the
number”? Or does it say,

…identify the multitude…

What “multitude” and how do we know them by 3 Greek letters?

When Arabic-speaking scholar Walid Shoebat looked at

those three letters, he saw something else (especially
when looking at original codices like the Codex Vaticanus).

Shoebat didn’t see 3 Greek letters, he saw Arabic.

“Allah”
In front of this word is the Arabic for “in the name of” (together known as “bismallah”), and behind it—
written in the eerily appropriate right-to-left—are the crossed scimitars of jihad; the muslim “holy war”.

In 1999, there was an Islamic revolt, attempting to unite a portion of Chechnya and Dagestan. The
flag used to rally the wagers of jihad was this—

And when you wage jihad, you identify yourself as a member of the Army of Mohammad by wearing
this on your forehead (or something very like it):
As Christians look with panic for bar codes and implanted
chips, this prophecy has already been fulfilled by the “soldiers
of Allah”.
Revelation 13:16-18

16 And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and
the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on
their forehead,

17 and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one
who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of
the beast, for the number is that of a man...

NASU

I conclude that John did not write down 3 Greek letters that required the occult to understand, he
dutifully wrote the Arabic Jesus gave him without understanding it.

“Here is wisdom: let him who has understanding identify the multitude of the Beast—they will conquer
in the name of ‘Allah’.”

Now, let me blow your mind again: the misconception held by poor Bible students for generations still
finds the Truth of G-d. Like a blind archer shooting an arrow across an incredible distance, the Holy
Spirit guides it (and us) through pagan twisting of numeric values to still hit the bull’s-eye. He is the
ultimate chess master.

The Beast of satan will, indeed, be an arrogant, failed, incomplete man.

A man of Islam.

(1) Throughout my walk as a Christian I have been frequently disturbed by how others, who call
themselves “Christian”, have so little respect for the Name of G-d. In the Time of Jesus Christ, Jews
had such fear and reverence for the Name of G-d that they dared not speak it, instead calling Him only,
“Ha Shem”, “The Name”.
In fact, one of the most common Names of G-d, “YHWH” (known as “the Tetragrammaton”) is actually
ineffable. There is no way to easily speak these 4 Hebrew consonants. Later, vowels were added for
convenience but the names “Jehovah” and “Yahweh” are found nowhere in the Bible.

How often have you heard a Christian say the words “Oh my God!”? It is a vain (meaningless) usage of
His Name and qualifies as blasphemy.

So, in an effort to draw the attention of Christians to this issue, I have taken the tradition of Orthodox
Judaism which hyphenates the Name of G-d out of respect for that Name.

Interestingly enough, a scrap of a copy of the Gospel of Matthew (known as “The Magdalene Papyrus”)
that has been astoundingly dated to between 73 and 74 A.D. writes the Name of Jesus as “J-s”.

However, I have chosen to not follow suit because of what I see as one of the most miraculous aspects
of the Gospel: that G-d emptied Himself into the form of a man to put a Face and a Name to Who He is
to us so that is a Name we should know with loving familiarity…

“Jesus”.
