2.1 Montage DN 16 KF
Der VSA100 wird mit einem Kleinflansch DN 16 KF an ∅ 48,5
der Vakuumanlage verbunden.

Der VSA100 sollte vorzugsweise auf dem Flansch ste-

Montage, da sich dann Kondensate im Druckschalter
sammeln können. Dadurch wird die Messung beeinflußt 3 (br)

Hinweis
Bei Lecksuche mit Helium-Lecksuchgeräten kann beim
80
Besprühen des Druckschalters mit Helium ein Nachweis
erfolgen. Dieser beruht i.a. nicht auf einer Leckage des
VSA100, sondern auf Diffusion des Heliums durch die 58
FPM-Membrane.

1.1 General 1.1.1 Purpose
Unpack the Vacuum Switch VSA100 immediately after The Vacuum Switch VSA100 is used as a safety switch
delivery, even if it is to be put into operation at a later in vacuum systems. It is used e.g. to automatically inter-
date. rupt the gas supply when venting vacuum sy-stems with

Then completely remove the packaging materials.
Note
The transport box and packaging materials must be kept
in the event of complaints about damage. 1.2 Technical Data
Check that the Vacuum Switch VSA100 is complete and Switching pressure 6 ± 0.2 mbar

has occurred during transport. Return switching pressure 3 ± 0.2 mbar
If any damage is discovered, report it immediately to the (below atmospheric pressure)

1.3 Function
At a differential pressure of 6 mbar below atmospheric
pressure an elastic diaphragm actuates a high current
changeover contact which in turn may be used to direct-
ly switch any ancillary equipment. The electrical connec-
tions are placed under a plastic cover.

2.1 Assembly
The VSA100 is connected to the vacuum system via a DN 16 KF
DN 16 KF small flange. ∅ 48.5
The VSA100 should preferably be mounted standing on Fig. 1 Dimensional diagram VSA100
its flange. Inclined mounting is also permissible, includ-
ing the horizontal position. Suspended installation is not
permissible because in such a case condensate may
collect in the pressure switch. This affects the measure-
ments and may damage the pressure switch. 3 (brown)

Note
When leak detecting with helium leak detectors spraying
80
the pressure switch with helium may result in a helium
proof. This is in general not due to a leak of the VSA100,
but is a diffusion of helium through the FPM diaphragm. 58
