GRACE OF GIVING

2Corinthians 9:6-11
6. Who ever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously
will also reap generously.
7. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly
or under compulsion, for God loves the cheerful giver.
8. and God is able to make all grace abound to you. So that in all things at all
times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
9. as it is written: He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor; his righteousness
endures forever.
10. Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for the food will also supply
and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your
righteousness.
11. you will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every
occasion and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

GOD MANIFESTED HIS LOVE TO THE GIVER.


1. Good attitude – not reluctantly (maluwag sa kalooban)
2. Proper motive – under compulsion (hindi napipilitan)
3. Right giving – give what he has decided in his heart (kusang loob na
pagbibigay)
 GOD LOVES A CHEERFUL GIVER.

WHAT IS THE RIGHT GIVING


1. Nation – give it to Caesar what is due to Caesar. Romans 13:1-2,
government authorities (Domestic taxation).
2. Church – give it to God what is due to God. 1 Cor. 16:1-2, Malachi 3:10.
(Divine taxation)
3. In the Old Testament tithe is under the law. (Malachi 3:10)
4. In the New Testament tithe is under grace. Grace giving / generous giving.
We give more than our tithe. (2 Cor. 9:7)

AREAS OF GIVING
1. TITHE – Malachi 3:10 (gross income). Anything that you receive whether it is in
kind or in cash. We need to give our tithes. Thanksgiving / Giving in return.
 When did you start to give your tithes?
2. LOVE OFFERING– Above our tithes. Best giving.
3. FIRST FRUIT – 2 Chro. 31:5. they generously gave the first fruits… all that the
fields produced. Abundant giving.
4. SACRIFICIAL GIVING – giving beyond our ability to give. (2 Cor. 8:1-4).
Highest giving.
 Phil. 4:18-19 they are fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice & pleasing to
God. And my God will meet all your needs…
CHEERFUL GIVING
a) TITHES – good measure - PROTECTION
b) LOVE OFFERING – press down - PROVISION
c) FIRST FRUIT – shaken together - PROSPERITY
d) SACRIFICIAL – running over - PRIVILEGE

BIBLICAL PRINCIPLE OF CHEERFUL GIVING


1. To provide the needs of the man of God.
2. To provide the needs of the Church of God.
3. To provide the needs of the people of God.

CONCLUSION
Philippians 4:18-19 They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice and
pleasing to God. And my God will meet all your needs according to His reaches in
Christ Jesus.
1 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you. So that in all

1 Corinthians 9:10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for the
food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest
of your righteousness.

generous on every occasion and through us your generosity will result in
thanksgiving to God.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plan I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to
prosper you not to harm you, plans to give you hope and future.
