PROJECT ANNOUNCEMENT
DELIVERABLES

1. Poster (3 feet wide x 4 feet long), Colored pictures and printouts. You can either get the whole
poster printed on Panaflex or print relevant content on colored A4 pages and paste on the chart.
Do it neat and clean. Safayi nisf points hain.

2. Report First Draft (Soft Copy): Provide a detailed outline of how you intend to write your report,
what sections will be included in the report and which topics of the architecture you will address.
The first draft of the report will also act as table of contents for the final report. So include
everything in the first draft which you intend to discuss in greater detail in the final Report.

3. Report Final Draft (Soft Copy): detailed description and explanation of all the topics, there is no
upper or lower limit on number of pages, just make sure to explain the topic of your interest in
ample detail. Furthermore, follow strict policy of extracting material from internet/books etc as
reference material in lieu of what has been explained in the class regarding technical report
writing. Don’t forget to mention your source by acknowledging it in the references list at the end
of your report. Some report sections include:

a. Title Page

b. Table of contents

c. Table of figures

d. Table of tables

e. Synopsis (summary of what you intend to present and brief introduction to each section
of your report. It is like a preface to your book). See books for examples

f. Introduction/History

g. Building Blocks/Features

h. Technical Working

i. Future enhancements/potential improvements/upgrades/updates

j. Conclusion

k. Any appendix material (you wish to include)

l. List of references

4. 15 minutes Power Point presentation (7.5minutes for each group member)

GROUP MEMBERS

• Groups of maximum 2 students are allowed for presentation. You can choose to get the work
done alone, grading for the project will reflect your individual effort.

no two groups of the same class can take these topics):

IMPORTANT DATES

• 27/04/2011: Last date of submission of group partner names and project name.

• 04/05/2011: Last date for first draft of report. Only provide title headings clearly indicating
which sections and topics you intend to explore and discuss in preparing for final presentations.

• 18/05/2011: Every group will submit their FINAL DRAFT of report.

• 25/05/2011: Group presentations begin.

• Late submissions will immediately result in disqualification of effort at that stage.

• Submission deadlines are mentioned above with no exceptions, all submissions are in electronic
format (other than telling me your project name). Poster is in printed format, report and ppt
presentation in electronic format are to be submitted to the instructor’s email address.

• Always send me the files with this naming convention:


Class_ProjectName_Member1_Member2.zip. Anyone failing to follow the naming convention
will end up cluttering my mailbox with unnecessary information and ultimately getting a 0.

• After the presentations I require a single zip file containing your PPT presentation, Final draft,
Initial Draft, and Poster in soft format.

• Submission time is 1700hrs and not a minute up on the date of submission.

• Group presentation dates will be decided randomly. There will be no changes in presentation
schedule once it is announced.
