01
Understand the importance of
breastfeeding
After the birth of a child,
mothers are advised to
breastfeed.

Because breast milk was
designed by Allah to
specifically fit the needs of
each individual child.
Because breast milk was

02
Thought to love Allah
As soon as they are old enough
to understand, children should
be taught to love Allah.
It is the parents responsibility
to teach children
That Allah is One,
and there is none worthy of
worship but Allah.
1
And (remember) when
Luqman said to his
son when he was
advising him:
O my son! do not associate
(anything) with Allah...

Surah Luqman 31:13

Indeed, association
(anything with Allah) is
great injustice.

Surah Luqman 31:13

03
Teaching the duties of Islam
Parents & guardians, are
responsible for teaching their
children the duties of Islam.
And the best way to do
this is by example.

Children learn by observing
the behavior of those
around them.

Our Prophet Muhammad,
peace be upon him said...
We learn that it is
obligatory upon us to
teach our children...

Narrated by Aisha from Sahih Bukhari

...to pray when they are 7
years old and to scold them
(in  a  mild  and  good-willed  manner)

Narrated by Aisha from Sahih Bukhari

...for not praying when
they reach the age of 10.”

Narrated by Aisha from Sahih Bukhari

04
Surrounded with
good qualities
Children should be able to see
those around them...
...performing acts of worship
such as reading the Quran,
...and should also observe their
parents & guardians displaying
good manners and morals.

Islamic scholar Imam Nawawi
once said...
The father should bring his
children up with good manners
in all things,

...He should keep
them away from
evil characteristics ✖
such as...
• cowardice
• stinginess
✖ • lack of nobility
• lack of ambition

Good Understandings
May you find this beneficial for
you & your family.
Have a good day and May Allah
bless us with his Rahmah.
