Can you tell me more about the department or team I would be traineed in?
Are we going to live in a dormitory or an apartment?
Are we allowed to visit our families here in the Philippines every year?
Do you have any concerns or questions about my qualifications?

You should also be prepared to answer questions like:

- What are you doing right now? Right now, I am studying the German Language, I am taking
A1 classes. I am also attending to my online nursing review for the Nursing Licensure Exam
which was rescheduled twice already due to Covid.
- Why did you want to do a trainee? I see an opportunity to work as a nurse in Germany, a
country whose Nursing curriculum and practices are different from what I learned or what we
practice here in the Philippines. Since it is my desire to work as a Nurse in Germany, there is no
better way to prepare myself for the job than to undergo training especially that I am a fresh BSN
graduate from the Philippines. This is also to enable me to perform and integrate nursing tasks
and practices the way Germans do. By undergoing training and immersing myself in the process,
it will aid me to fully understand the German health care system, its culture and practices, how
Germans care for the patients and how to determine a patient's needs. By doing so, I will be able
to utilize the nursing theories I learned from my country and integrate it in a German setting.
because the nursing profession knows no boundaries, race or culture.
- What are you doing right now?
- Why do you have not much experience as a nurse? As mentioned, I am a fresh BSN graduate.
As to actual work per se, I do not have much experience yet in a hospital setting. But I have my
related learning experiences while studying which familiarizes me in the application of the
nursing theories in a hospital setting such as (imention nimu nga naka assist na ka sa OR, og
unsa to exceptional nmu nga experience pag skwela nimu)
- Do you have family / friends in Germany? I have a relative who also works as a nurse in Berlin
and a few acquaintances. (i mention lang kung naa kay friend didto)
- Do you think you can easily integrate in Germany? Considering the different factors between
the Philippines and Germany such as culture, language, work ethics and practices, I think that it
will be difficult for me to immediately integrate myself in Germany. But with persistent learning
and engaging myself into the German culture and practices, I believe that eventually, I will be
able to integrate myself slowly but surely. Since it is my desire to work as a Nurse in Germany in
order to provide for my family, there is nothing that I can not do and everything can be learned
and taught of.
- Are you married? Do you have kids? Do they want to move to Germany after some time? No, I
am not married and I do not have kids. I have my parents who are already retired. if the
opportunity comes and if they are still able to travel, then perhaps I can bring them to Germany
when the right time comes.
- Did you already live abroad? Do you think it will be difficult to be separated from your
family? No, I haven't lived abroad but I was able to travel to other countries like Japan, Taiwan,
Hong Kong, Singapore and the USA. It will be difficult for me to leave my parents especially
now that they are older and retired but this will be for them so I need to sacrifice. Besides,
technology now is so advanced, it would be much easier to communicate with them and check
on them.
- What do you know about Germany (e.g. culture, history, cities,…). You should know at least a
few things. So you can show that you are really interested in Germany. When we talk about
Germany, the things that come to my mind are beers and cars. Germany is famous for
manufacturing cars such as Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Mercedes Benz. Aside from that,
Germany is among the top 10 most visited countries in Europe, it is considered as Europe's most
industrialized country. Germany is also among the top 10 most popular countries for
international students in the world. The advantage of higher education in Germany is that it's free
for German citizens and even foreigners. No wonder that the demand among students to pursue
studies in Germany remains high because diplomas issued  by German universities are
recognized and respected in the labour market globally. Aside from the quality education offered
by Germany, it is also famous for its well-known museums such as, beautiful lakes like the lakes
of Holsteinische Schweiz which surrounds Eutin which includes Großer Eutiner See, also many
of the lakes are surrounded by forests; mountains; castles and palaces like the Sanssouci Palace
and Eutin Castle; cathedrals like the Cologne Cathedral; monuments like the Bradenburg Gate an
iconic landmark in Berlin. Germany is also known for Albert Einstein, Ludwig van
Beethoven, Johann Sebastian Bach, the founder of my school which belongs to the Society of the
Divine Word, St. Arnold Janssen. Germans also enjoy merry making like having festivals and
carnivals. Germany is a safe country and known for its economic stability. Germans are known
to have a strong work ethic, they are keen on rules, goal oriented and they separate work from
private lives which is encouraging for those who seek a work-life balance. (ikaw og naa pa kay
gusto idugang)

- How long do you plan to stay in Germany? Just a few year or maybe till retirement? I plan to
stay and work longer. since i am given the opportunity to study for free, I think it is also fair that
I work fairly longer to be able to utilize what I learn and deliver nursing care to the Germans
because being a Nurse is what I want to be. If its until retirement that would be difficult to say
for now but I see myself staying longer in Germany.
