shortage of skilled employees. The HR
inventory shows that there is a surplus of 5
skilled employees and 6 un-skilled employees.
The company has a target of producing 14000
units per month. This production target has to
be achieved from the next month. The
company is ready to invest any amount into
fixed assets for meeting the target. As part of
their strategic move, they have decided to
change their technology and thus their
production process from next year. The new
machine X which will be utilized then, will
require only 5 skilled and no unskilled
workers, though the machine’s production
capacity will remain the same. You are the HR
manager of Maria Ltd. You need to draft a HR
plan relating to the demand and supply
forecast of the immediate and the long term
goal of the company. What would your action
plan be to tackle the issues relating to the
deficit or surplus in both the case?
