Final Project Expectations

Learning Objective:
• “I understand cause and effect relationships and can identify and analyze them in both
literature and current events.”
• “I can summarize, synthesize, and evaluate information from a variety of sources.”
Success Criteria:
• Individual Assignment:
o Cause and Effect Analysis (Minimum of 500 words, Maximum of 1000) on a global
company examining the cause and effect relationships related to that company
going global.
o Thesis should relate to the essential questions: What are the positive and negative
effects of your company going global? Since going global, does your company have
more positive effects on the world or negative?
o Include 6+ research articles within your paper that support your point.
• Individual or Small Group Assignment (no more than 3 in a group):
o Persuasive multimedia presentation of choice presenting the chosen topic on
society and its effects BOTH locally and globally (this may be done in a variety of
ways, for example, an advertisement, Animoto, Prezi, Glogster, website, etc.) It
would benefit you to do something you can post on your Weebly website for
Geography!
 This piece should be directed to the company as a way to either decrease
one of their negative effects or increase one of their positives.
o Presentation of multimedia project to the class the last week of school (you must
participate in the presentation to receive credit for this part of the project)
o Evaluation of other group members participation and work ethic
