Stalls will be available at Noon on Monday June 13, 2011, and must
be vacated by noon on Sunday June 19, 2011. Early arrival or late
departure may be arranged for an additional fee.
Stop at the show office for stall information from noon to 6:00 pm.

at 10AM in the office on Thursday.

To Stable together, all forms must be submitted together.
12 month Negative Coggins Test required on every horse.
To pick up Show Packet, you must leave a check with show office.
 Clinic Rules and Regulations
1. No riding without a saddle, bridle and helmet. No riding double or bareback.
2. Name Tags: All participants must wear their Name Tags while riding or
handling any horse, not just during clinics. This is a safety requirement.
3. Safety Helmets: All riders MUST wear properly fitting headgear passing or
surpassing ASTM/SEI (American Society of Testing Materials/Safety
Equipment Institute) Standards, with harness secured, while riding anywhere, at
any time, on the Jamboree grounds.
4. Required Attire: All riders are required to wear footwear with a heel,
preferably riding boots. No tennis shoes, including those with the “Riding Heel”.
Riders must wear a close-fitting shirt that is tucked in, and jeans or riding pants.
No halter or tank tops. Hair confined, no loose clothing or jewelry. No gum. No
sandals or open shoes while handling a horse.
5. Riders who show up improperly dressed will be excused from their clinic.
6. All Horses must be in their stalls during the Lunch period every day.
7. Curfew: Mandatory evening curfew for all horses is one hour after the last
clinic. There will be a barn check. Please cooperate!
8. Riders must walk their horses to and from the clinic rings; no trotting or
cantering on any of the roads or driveways.
9. All animals MUST be on a lead or leash and attended to at all times. Do not tie
animals to the ring fence, bring them into the stands, or turn them loose. No pets
in the show office.
10. Pets on a Leash Notice: The facility does not issue a warning when an
animal is turned loose; it has a policy of confiscating loose pets, due to insurance
liability.
11. Riders MAY NOT ride or work their horses, or participate in any clinic until
a properly signed Clinic Application Form has been turned in.
12. Adults are asked to refrain from “Coaching from the Rail” while their
children or students are participating in clinics. Adults are asked to set a good
example and follow the Clinic Rules and Regulations.
13. No parking in Barn Areas. Please un-load and then move your rig.
14. DO NOT LUNGE HORSES IN COVERED ARENA!
15. Failure to follow above rules may result in loss of clinic privileges.
Tentative Clinics & Seminars
Show Braiding: Manes & tails for hunter pleasure, show hack, working hunter
and dressage; techniques and tips. Hands on clinic.
Show Clipping and Grooming: Techniques, tips, plus information on how to
care for your clippers and blades. Faces, feet, and a whole lot more; what it takes
to turn a horse out with that show ring shine.
Understand Trail: Walk a trail course with the clinician. Learn how to analyze,
approach and negotiate obstacles; what the judge looks for; minor and major
faults, and how to prevent them.
Understand Hunter Courses: Walk a Course. Learn to plan your entire ride;
entrance, first courtesy circle, approach for each fence, taking the fence, strides,
turns, changes of lead, transitions, the final courtesy circle.
Understand Dressage: Arena Geometry, Glossary of Terms, Figures,
Movements, Concepts, the Training Scale; Dressage Show Ring etiquette and
protocol.
Understand Halter and Showmanship: See thru the judge’s eyes. Learn what
is required, and how to show your horse and yourself to the best advantage.
Understand Sport Horse In Hand: Learn all about this new division.
Rider Definitions
Walk Trot Rider: Riders may not be cantering at home, but will not canter in
the Clinics. Focus on establishing rider’s basic skills and control of the horse,
learning diagonals, and riding in a group. Groups will be very small.
Walk Trot Canter Rider: Riders are cantering at home, and will canter in
smaller, controlled group during the clinic. Focus on improving rider’s basic
skills, controlling the horse at a canter in a group, ring position, and recognizing
and understanding leads and diagonals.
Advanced Riders: Riders are confidant at the canter or lope and hand gallop in a
group. Focus on maintaining suitable gaits and frame. Focus on fine tuning the
horse.
Trail: Riders of any level. Each rider will work individually based on their
current skills. No more than two clinics per day, please.
Dressage: Riders will be divided according to ability and experience in the
Dressage Ring.
English & Sport Horse Show Hack, Side Saddle, Native Costume: Advanced
Riders ONLY. You must know your leads and diagonals, and be able to put and
keep your horse in frame.
Halter, Showmanship at Halter, Sport Horse In Hand: Handlers of any skill
level. Horses must be presented in a snaffle bridle or stable halter. Handlers must
have a long whip or crop, and wear sturdy shoes in which they can run
comfortably.
Over Fences: Riders will be divided according to ability and experience over
fences.
General Rules of the Show
1. This Horse Show is conducted in accordance with the Rules of the USEF,
particularly the Arabian, Half Arabian and Anglo-Arabian Division, and the rules
of the AHA. The official rule book of each organization will prevail for this
show. Any changes or corrections of rules will automatically become a part of
this Prize List and will appear in the AHA or USA Equestrian magazines. Each
participant in the Show is responsible for a knowledge these rules and is subject
to these rules. Questions not covered by USEF Rules shall be decided by the
Show Management and its decision shall be final.
2. Veterinarian Inspection: All animals are subject to physical inspection, free
of charge, by the Show Veterinarian as a safeguard against communicable equine
disease. All horses must be serviceably sound, except in Jumper and Equitation
Divisions. In case of suspected unsoundness, the Judges may, if they so desire,
have the animal examined by the Show Veterinarian, and that decision shall be
final. No exhibitor may use another veterinarian’s statement to contradict the
decision of the Judge or Show Vet. The name and phone number of the Show
Veterinarian will be posted at the Show Office window. In fairness to all
exhibitors and their horses, no sick horse will be allowed in the ring.
MANAGEMENT ASKS THAT NO SICK HORSE BE BROUGHT TO THE
SHOW.
3. Registration Requirements: Horses to be shown in classes designated for
Arabians must have been issued a certificate of registration from the Arabian
Horse Registry of America, Inc. (or in the case of a foreign entry, which has not
been issued said certificate of registration, have been issued a Competition Visa
by the Arabian Horse Registry of America), and/or the Canadian Arabian Horse
Registry or, if under one year of age, be eligible for registry, and registration
applied for (Exception: Art. 1699W.1) and must be entered under their full
registered name (Only weanlings that have had registration applied for may show
without registration papers). Horses to be shown in classes designated for Half
Arabian/Anglo Arabian (HA/AA) must have been issued a certificate of
registration from the Arabian Horse Association in the Half-Arabian or the
Anglo-Arabian Registry, or have been issued an Arabian Horse Association
(Canadian Part bred Arabian Register) CPAR PERMIT or if under one year of
age, be eligible for registry and registration applied for and must be entered
under their full registered name (Exception: Horses under one year of age that
are eligible for registry and registration applied for).
4. Entry Forms: All entry forms MUST be submitted with a copy of the
following: [1] USEF and AHA Competition Level Membership Cards; [2] both
sides of the registration papers for each horse; [3] current negative Coggins Test
(within twelve months) for each horse. No entry will be processed without the
foregoing copies unless you are either applying for membership at the show or
paying non-member fees. The entry blank provides a space for the signature and
address of the horse(s)’s trainer, owner or rider/driver/handler. No person under
18 may sign as trainer, see USEF GR 906-909. All entry forms must be
accompanied by check or money order to cover all fees and one class entry fee;
other classes may be entered in advance without prepayment. Please refer to
rules on Entry Policy, Adding, Changing or Scratching Classes at Show, and
Refunds.
5. Entry Policy: Please try to enter all your classes in advance. It is MUCH
easier for staff to scratch a horse than to add a horse. You must prepay entry fees
for one class. You must leave a blank, signed check at the show office to pick up
your exhibitor’s package.
6. Add/Change/ Scratch Classes at Show: You may scratch without penalty IF
you scratch during the prior session. Classes added, changed or scratched at the
show are not considered Post Entries. NOTE: An adult’s signature is required
to add, change or scratch; children MAY NOT submit forms.
7. Refunds: Any participant in the Jamboree who has entered the show, and then
decides not to show, will receive a refund of all show fees (except stall fees and
office fees).
8. Post Entries: Entries must be postmarked no later than June 1, 2011. Post
entries will be accepted. No Postage Meter Dates. Post Entry Fee of $25 will be
charged per horse for entries postmarked after June 1, 2011. Entries received
after Closing Date might not be stabled with entries sent on time
9. Show Packet: All paperwork must be in order before picking up show packet;
otherwise, you will be given your form(s) to correct, and you will go back to the
end of the line. You must leave a blank, signed check at the show office to pick
up your exhibitor’s package.
10. Show Office Hours: Office Hours will be posted at the Show Office.
11. Stabling: Stalls will be assigned as Clinic Application Forms and Show
Entry Forms (BOTH FORMS) are received, on a first come, first served basis.
Forms MUST be mailed together for stalls to be assigned together. Stalls will be
available on Monday at Noon. All horses must be clear of the grounds by noon
on Sunday. Early arrival [before noon on Monday] or late departure [after noon
on Sunday] is available for an additional $12.00 per night. All stalls are 10x10
permanent and have sliding doors. Horses entering the show but not the
Jamboree Clinics will NOT be assigned stalls with groups entering both the
Jamboree and the show.
12. Shavings: Initial bedding will NOT be furnished. Please pre-order bedding if
you will be arriving after 8PM any night. You will not receive bedding unless
pre-order was placed on entry form (then bedding will be waiting on you in your
stalls). There will not be anyone on the grounds to distribute bedding after 8PM.
Bedding may be charged to your Show Tab. Re-orders must be received by 2:00
pm for same day delivery.
13. Class Calls: Classes will be called promptly. Two (2) minutes will be
allowed after the first horse enters the ring, after which the gate will be closed.
Exhibitors are cautioned that if entering the same horse or rider in successive
classes, a tack change should be arranged for with the Paddock Manager. A
maximum of 3 minutes will be allowed for a tack change. In the interest of good
sportsmanship, exhibitors are requested to always check in with the Paddock
Manager. Due to unforeseen problems with any electrical device, the PA system
and paddock calls over that system must be considered a courtesy. It is the
responsibility of the exhibitor to be sure that his horse is at the gate at the
prescribed time. And, while every effort will be made to maintain a working PA
system to carry call, no protest will be upheld nor will any section be changed on
the basis of a PA malfunction alone.
14. Age of Junior Exhibitor: Junior Exhibitors shall not have reached their 18th
birthday prior to December 1, 2010.
15. Stallions may be shown in all classes except Walk-Trot, Lead Line, Halter,
and Showmanship at Halter classes.
16. Entry Numbers: The assigned number of each entry shall be prominently
displayed by rider or handler when the horse is exhibited.
17. Substitution of Officials: The Show Committee reserves the right to
substitute for a Show Official in the event that said Official is unable to attend.
18. Refusal of Entries: The Show Committee reserves the right to refuse the
entry of any person without liability or compensation. See USEF GR1509.1 for
details.
19.Combine/Cancel Classes: The Show Committee has the right to
combine/cancel any class with fewer than three entries and to change classes in
case of bad weather.
20. Protests must be filed in accordance with USEF Rules and be accompanied
by the required deposit, which will be forfeit if the protest is not sustained.
Questions not covered by the Rules shall be decided by the Show Committee and
its decision shall be final.
21. Professional Services and consultations performed by the Show Veterinarian
or Farrier, other than by the request of the Judge or Steward, shall be on a Private
Fee Basis.
22. Liability: Neither Region XII, its officers or officials, nor any of the
sponsors of the show, will be responsible for any accidents or damages done to
any owner, driver, groom, attendant, or their equipment.
23. Parking in Barn Area: No trailers or vehicles will be allowed to park in the
barn area except to unload/load. Fire lanes must be kept open. No electrical cords
may be run from any barn. If such occurs, a hook-up charge of $20.00 per night
will be charged
24. Footing: Footing in all rings is a mixture of sand, clay and loam.
25. USEF Rule on Minors who Drive: In accordance with GR1301.7 Minors
who do not have a valid driver's license which allows them to operate a
motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to
operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts,
motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds of
licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate
the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an
adult with a valid driver's license. Violations of this rule will be cause for
sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible
for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the
child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for
the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the
above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility
assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule.
26. Sharps Containers: USEF GR1210.4 Competition management shall place
a minimum of one sharps container per each competition, whether or not stabling
is provided. Additionally, at least one sharps container per fifty occupied stalls
for the disposal of needles and other disposable sharp instruments in convenient
locations in barns housing competition horses.
27. Food Service: Available on the grounds
Class Specifications
Every Class Offered Herein Which Is Covered by the Rules and
Specifications of the Current Federation Rule Book Will Be Conducted and
Judged in Accordance Therewith.
Lead Line: Open to riders who are at least two (2) years of age and have not
reached their seventh (7th) birthday as of December 1. Leaders must be at least
fourteen (14) years of age. The safety of all exhibitors must be of primary
consideration when conducting these classes. Any action by any exhibitor, leader
or horse that endangers that exhibitor or any other exhibitor or leader must be
penalized and will be considered as cause for elimination. Safety is of the utmost
importance in tack and attire. (a.) Saddle must fit rider. (b.) Rider’s feet must be
engaged in the stirrups/irons. (c.) Saddles may be equipped with hooded stirrups
or breakaway irons. (d.) Leading rein may be attached to a cavesson or a halter
placed under or over the bridle. Leading rein may not be attached to the bit. (e.)
Safety helmets, with chin straps, may be used by any rider, regardless of style of
tack and/or attire. (f.) Boots, long pants and long sleeve shirts are required. (Res.
34-99) There shall be only one rider on each horse entered. Stallions are
prohibited. This class will not be placed and similar awards will be presented to
all exhibitors.
A/HA/AA Walk/Trot 10 & Under Classes: These classes are AHA/USEF rated
and require proper attire. Riders may NOT cross enter between Walk/Trot 10 &
Under and other classes. The AHA and USEF Non-Member Fees do NOT apply
in these classes. As of January 1, 1995, a rider must never have been judged in a
class at a Recognized show that required a canter or lope.
AHA Hunter Seat Over Obstacles Medal class:
To be shown over a course of not fewer than six obstacles with fence heights of 2'6" to
3' which must include an oxer and two changes of direction (changes of lead). (Res. 53-
96) Two or more tests of the top four contestants are required from USEF EQ 113 -
Tests 1 -7, 9-15, 17-19 or EC equivalent. Only one rider per horse.
AHA Saddle Seat Medal class: In addition to the rail work, all contestants are required
to perform two or more individual tests from USEF Tests (EQ 120) 1-15 or EC
equivalent. Markers shall not be used.
AHA Reining Seat Medal class: All contestants are required to perform a Reining
pattern as outlined in USEF Reining, or EC equivalent. (Res. 25-06) Order go will be
done by draw. Bits must be dropped and inspected by the Judge or designated official,
and all riders must dismount for this inspection. If called for in the ring, assistance, if
necessary, may be had from one of the ring officials. Reins shall not be removed from
the horse's neck while inspecting bits. In the event the total score is tied, the tie will first
be broken by the exhibitor with the highest equitation score. Should a tie still exist, the
tie shall be broken by reining rules found in COMP 812. In an AHA Reining Seat
Medal class an off pattern rider is eliminated and is not eligible to win a medal or
ribbon. The prescribed AHA Reining Seat Equitation Score Sheet must be used and
posted in accordance with the USEF Arabian, Half-Arabian/Anglo-Arabian Division,
Subchapter Working Western rule regarding score sheets. (Res.25-06)See the USEF
Equitation Division rule regarding “Numbers” under Conduct. (Res. 8/07)
AHA Hunter Seat Not to Jump Medal class. In addition to the rail work, all
contestants are required to perform two or more individual tests from USEF, Equitation
Division, Tests From Which Judges Must Choose.
AHA Western Horsemanship Medal class. Following the rail work, all contestants
are required to perform a minimum of four tests from the USEF Arabian, Half-
Arabian/Anglo-Arabian Division, Subchapter Western Horsemanship. (BOD 5/06)
USEF Unrecognized classes: Classes marked as unrated /non-rated will be held
in accordance with USEF rules but will not count toward any points. Exhibitors
if only in these classes are exempt from USEF non-member fees and USEF
Drugs & Medication Fees.
USEF Rule
Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all
classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level
or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage,
Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance. A non-member may
participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at
Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining
Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $30 non-
member registration fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from
the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4)
classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot and academy classes (academy classes are
classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF
introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed
Reining Competitions; 8) Opportunity classes. 9) citizens of other nations who
have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own
National Federation, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant
handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes. EC 7/21/08 Effective

Clinic Check-In Information

Attention All participants and their “Responsible Adult”
Check-in will be in the office Monday between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm.
This is when participants will get their Jamboree Package.
Participants WILL NOT be allowed to pick up their Package
unless their “Responsible Adult” is with them.
The “Responsible Adult” will be required to sign for these items.
