Mitchell: Welcome to TJSK News. I’m Scott Mitchell.

Swanton: And I’m Jen Swanton. Last week elections were held for
next year’s Student Government association executive
board. Results from the election came in today. After a
close race, Rider University’s new SGA executive board for
the 2011 to 2012 school year will be Brian Williams as
president, Lorelie Colbert as vice president, Mike Blake as
Treasurer, and Adam Grossman as the Secretary.

Mitchell: Drew Rosenhaus paid Rider University a visit today. He is

known as the one of the most successful N-F-L sports
agents representing around 100 clients. Among the topics
he talked about was the N-F-L lockout and what he is
advising his clients to do with the down time. He said it’s
important to stay together as a group, stay in shape, and
enjoy the down time.

Swanton: Zeta Tau Alpha is holding its annual Pies for Pink today;
Kim Hiller is there to report.

Mitchell: Thanks, Kim.

The Rider University Men’s soccer team selected a new
head coach today. After a national search the University
selected Charlie Inverso. He comes to Rider from Rutgers
University were he held an assistant coaching position.
Prior to his stint at Rutgers he was the head coach of the
Mercer-Community-College-squad where he won five
national championships.

Swanton: Greek week is held once a year in which different Greek

organizations on Rider’s campus are given the opportunity
to compete against each other in various activities with the
ultimate goal of gaining Greek unity. During that week,
each day has a series of events worth a specific number of
points. At the completion of all events, the points are
tallied and first place is given to one of the fraternities and
one of the sororities. Tonight’s event, Lip-sync, is one of
the most desirable events to participate in. The
fraternities and sororities spend countless hours
organizing, putting together a specific plot surrounded by
song, dance and school spirit. The event will begin at
10pm tonight in the Alumni Gym.

Mitchell: Now lets pass it over to Teresa who will be telling us about
an attempted abduction on the Lawrenceville Campus
today.

Swanton: Thanks for tuning into TJSK News. See you next time.
