Introduction

Goodness is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit. Goodness is when we do good things to the
people around us, like helping an old woman to cross the pedestrian lane. God is our idol when it comes
to goodness. When I say God is good you will say all the time, when I say all the time you will say God is
good. God is really good in our life, that’s why He has a good plan to each every one of us. He has a very
good heart to love us so much. He gave us our parents to take care for us. He gave us a school to learn
and He gave us everything for our own good.
Goodness is somehow related to kindness, most of us are always doing it and it is always the first thing
to do. God wants us to be a good person and try to apply it to our life so that many people will see that
God is really good. When we always try to do good things to others we simply become more like Jesus
because through the works of Jesus we will see goodness, example:

 The Story of the 5 fish and the 7 loaves

He never allows the people who followed Him in the mountain, to be hungry and lonely.
He is always concern in our needs and He grants our prayers unselfishly.
 Jesus performs miracles and healings
He is always there to help us in our problems, when we are hopeless He is there to
perform miracles and healings for us to believe that there is always a hope in Him.
 Jesus sent the 12 disciples
The disciples are afraid of going alone without Jesus, when Jesus died and taken up to
heaven He sent down the Holy Spirit to guide the disciples here on earth. It’s the same
to us The Holy Spirit protect and guide us always.

they will not allow to use the materials with its original usage for example, a shoe lace will not
be use as a belt but it will use in the play as a belt.
 They will be given 15 minutes to prepare
 They will present the skit in 5 minutes
Processing

Goodness is when you try to do more than what you can do with what you have; it’s an extra miler,
during our activity we used different things that you had in the box with a different purpose to make a
skit or play. For example we used the shoe lace as belt- that is thinking out of the box. We can also apply
in our daily lives, for example if you do not know how to dance at least you try your best to learn. Being
good is using our talents and abilities to be use for His glory. Our God deserves only the best. As children
of God we are created in His image and likeness and every day we need to try to be like our good God.

Let’s continue to be a tower always connected to the source. Once we are connected it is our time to
share an act of goodness to others, by helping our parents and being helpful to others.

Dear Parents,

Greetings in Christ!

Last month we taught them the virtue of gentleness. This month our activity is all about
goodness and it is the very basic virtue that most kid must learn nowadays. During the Lenten
season, many of us saw the goodness of Jesus through His passion. We want that to relay in
each every kid so that they become aware that Jesus planted in our heart the seed of goodness
so that they may grow like Christ.

It’s not difficult to teach your children to be good. Here are some suggestions in teaching
your kids the virtue of goodness.

1. Model An Act of Goodness. Kids must always see the goodness first in us, so that they
can imitate us. Showing them how to do it and share it is the best way to learn it.

2. Allow them to explore the goodness inside them. If they are doing good encourage them
to be good always, if they are doing not so good encourage them to do it excellently. If they
have low grades don’t get mad about it, instead encourage and teach them.

3. Reward an act of goodness they did. Kids love attention: so shower them with it, when
they’ve done good things. Instead of just scolding them for not sharing or being rough with
another child, make a fuss when they do share or give.

These are just some examples on how we you can teach your children the virtue of
goodness. We hope that your child/dren will continue to become a Good Christian. Let us work
together in bringing God’s plan to you r children.

May the good Lord bless you and your family!

In Christ through Mary,

KFL Team
