ASSEMBLY / INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS :

1.Before beginning the installation, carefully unpack and identify all parts, referring to the illustration(DIRECT MOUNTING). 2. Turn the power to the installation point OFF at circuit breaker. 3.Thread one end ofthe NIPPLE into the COUPLING on the top center ofthe JUNCTION BOX. Hand tighten until snug. Proceed to position the FIXTURE COVER, FIXTURE CANOPY and the LOCK WASHER over the top end ofthe NIPPLE. Secure with the COUPLING. Hand tighten until snug. 4 . Determine the hanging method [chain or direct].

CHAIN HUNG MOUNTING:

(see the illustration CHAIN-HUNG MOUNTING)

a. Locate the (2)MOUNTING BALLS and attach them onto the FIXTURE CANOPY. Secure them with the (2)PAN HEAD SCREWS. Hand tighten until snug. These are used to hide the (2)mounting holes used in DIRECTMOUNTING application.

b. Thread the FIXTURE LOOP onto the NIPPLE in the center of the FIXTURE CANOPY. Hand tighten until snug.

c.Fasten the CROSSBAR to the OUTLETBOX with (2) OUTLETBOX SCREWS (not supplied). Proceed to thread LOCK NUTA and LOCK WASHERA onto the top end of NIPPLE. Thread NIPPLE into the center of CROSSBAR. Locate the LOCK NUT B onto the bottom end of the NIPPLE. Tighten LOCK NUTA against CROSSBAR with plier until snug. d . Locate the FIXTURE CHAIN and determine desired hanging height of fixture. Adjust chain by removing links if needed. Please note that depending on chain material thickness, you might be required to use chain

pliers to spread links open. Proceed to attach one end of chain to FIXTURE LOOP, attached to top of fixture. Pass the fixture wires through FIXTURE CHAIN alternating links. Proceed to pass the fixture wires through the following mounting components in this order: 1) CANOPY LOCK RING; 2) CEILING CANOPY; 3) CANOPY CHAIN LOOP 4) LOCK WASHER B and LOCK NUT B;5)NIPPLE; 6)LOCK NUTA and LOCK

WASHERA.

Using wire connectors not supplied ) connect the HOUSE GROUND WIRE to the FIXTURE GROUND

WIRE

BLACK (or RED)WIRE to the FIXTURE (or SMOOTH) LEAD.Wrap each connection with approved electrical tape . f. Carefully tuck all wiring up into the OUTLETBOX.Thread the CANOPY CHAIN LOOP onto the NIPPLE. Locate the CEILING CANOPY over OUTLETBOX and secure by threading the LOCK RING onto the CANOPY CHAIN LOOP.

DIREC T MOUNTING:

(see the illustration DIRECTMOUNTING)

a. Locate the (2)MOUTNING SCREWS and thread them into the back ofthe UNIVERSALCROSSBAR,

making sure that they match the holes in the FIXTURE CANOPY. Using (2) OUTLET BOX SCREWS (not included), fasten the UNIVERSAL CROSSBAR to the OUTLETBOX.

Using wire connectors not supplied ) connect the HOUSE GROUND WIRE to the FIXTURE GROUND

WIRE connectthe HOUSEWHITEWIRE to the FIXTUREWHITE (or RIBBED)LEAD; connectthe HOUSE

BLACK (or RED)WIRE to the FIXTURE (or SMOOTH) LEAD.Wrap each connection with approved

electrical tape .

c. Carefully tuck all ofthe wiring up into the outlet box, and fitthe FIXTURE CANOPY over the MOUNTING SCREWS. Secure the FIXTURE CANOPYto the ceiling with the (2)MOUNTING BALLS, making sure that the balls are fully threaded onto the MOUNTING SCREWS before tightening.

5.Locate the SHADE over the SOCKET as shown.Thread the SOCKET COLLAR onto the SOCKET and hand tighten until snug to secure the SHADE. 6.Install bulbs referring to fixture markings and/or labelsfor maximum wattage. 7. Return power to the installation point ON. Retain this sheetfor future reference.
