 The On-Ramp
 “I like to see Avaya Aura as the communications highway of the future,
with all kinds of new applications and capabilities being continuously
added that are easily accessible to all. Current systems, like
Communication Manager and CS1000, are the on-ramps to this new
highway. It obviously makes no sense, as some competitors claim, for
Avaya to dismantle the on-ramps – because otherwise how will customers
get on the highway? The new highway is where new value and capabilities
are being constantly created - like Avaya Flare, video, collaboration and
more! Therefore, Avaya is committed to widening, repaving and improving
the on-ramps to provide better access to Avaya Aura. Our focus (in CM 6,
CS1000 7.5 etc) is on ease of application integration, because the next
hundred totally new features for the CS1000, or Communication Manager,
or any other current system, will not arrive “inside the box”, but will be
flexibly delivered from “outside”…from the communications highway…
through Avaya Aura - shared and available to all.”
