INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

6 CORPORATE PARKWAY 1. Before beginning the installation, carefully unpack and identify all parts , referring to the
GOOSE CREEK , SC . 29445 illustration.

CROSSBAR (2) OUTLET BOX SCREWS 2. Turn the electrical power to installation point OFF at the circuit breaker .

3. Slip down the GLASS PANEL to the inside of the CAGE. Locate the TABS onto the top edge of the
( 2) MOUNTING GLASS PANEL and match the holes on them with the MOUNTING HOLES on the top edge of the
BALLS CAGE. Use screw driver, thread the SCREWS into the MOUNTING HOLES and hand tighten until
snug to secure the GLASS PANEL.

4. Lift the CAGE with the GLASS PANELS upward and align the holes on top edge of CAGE with
mounting holes on the bottom edge of the FIXTURE HOOD. Secure them together by
threading the LOCK SCREWS onto the mounting holes on the FIXTURE HOOD. Hand
(2) MOUNTING SCREWS tighten until snug.

5. Place the CROSSBAR on the BACKPLATE and align the holes in the BACKPLATE with a set of
FIXTURE SUPPLY WIRE threaded holes in the CROSSBAR. Install the (2) MOUNTING SCREWS in the aligned threaded
and GROUND WIRE holes on the CROSSBAR. Next, mount the CROSSBAR to the outlet box with (2)OUTLET BOX
FIXTURE HOOD SCREWS (not provided).

LAMP BALLASTADAPTOR 6. MAKING THE CONNECTIONS:( Quoizel recommends 2 people for this step )
Using wire connectors( not supplied ) connect the HOUSE GROUND to the FIXTURE
LAMP GROUND WIRE; attach the HOUSE WHITE WIRE to FIXTURE WHITE( or RIBBED SIDE)
SUPPLY WIRE; connect the HOUSE BLACK( or( RED) WIRE to the FIXTURE BLACK( or
SMOOTH SIDE) WIRE. Wrap each wire connect with approved electrical tape.
LAMP&BALLAST SCREW
REPLACEMENT 7. Carefully tuck all wires into the OUTLET BOX and align the fixture over the HOLES in the
TAB BACKPLATE with the( 2) MOUNTING SCREWS attached to the CROSSBAR. Pass the fixture
over the( 2) MOUNTING SCREWS and secure it against the wall surface by threading
( 2) MOUNITNG BALLS onto the end of each screw. Tighten until snug.

GLASS PANEL 8. Install the supplied bulb by gently pushing it into the socket opening , aligning the tabs on the
bulb with the tab openings in the socket . For bulb replacement , see the information below .

9. Next, refer to page 2 for correct fixture caulking instructions.


LAMP
ADAPTOR 10. Restore power back ON to the installation point . Retain this sheet for future reference .
BALLAST
LAMP & BALLAST REPLACEMENT
This compact fluorescent luminaries is provided with a replaceable Self Ballasted Lamp
Adaptor or Ballast that employs a Replaceable Flourescent 13W or 18W Lamp . The ballast is
designed to last up to four times longer than the lamp, therefore the lamp will likely need to

be replaced before the ballast. There are markings on both the lamp and the ballast that show

CAGE If your lamp has been replaced and the luminaries still does not light , the ballast may need to
be replaced. To remove the ballast, pull the lamp straight out , this will expose the ballast .
Then grasp the ballast and twist it counter - clockwise and remove it . You will notice the two
locking pins on the bottom of the ballast . Replace the ballast with a Self - ballasted Lamp or
a Self- ballasted Lamp Adaptor in accordance with the maximum wattage marking on the
luminaries, with the same pin configuration ( Gu24 base ) as the ballast that was removed.

With the OUTDOOR FIXTURE properly installed in accordance with supplied
assembly/installation instructions, proceed with caulking instructions below.

Note: Be sure EXTERIOR WALL SURFACE and FIXTURE BACKPLATE are free to dirt to
caulking. Using EXTERIOR GRADE CAULK, start on one side of FIXTURE BACKPLATE and
EXTERIOR GRADE follow contour, were the FIXTURE BACKPLATE meets the EXTERIOR WALL SURFACE
CAULK
upward. Proceed to caulk over top of backplate and down other side. DO NOT CAULK
BOTTOM OF FIXTURE BACKPLATE to ensure proper moisture drainage.
