Crochet Pattern: Turtle Keychains

Yarn: 100% cotton: green + brown

(50g/125m)
Consumption: less than 1 ball
Hook-Size: 2,5
Height: about 10cm
Additional stuff: 6mm eyes, stuffing,
keychains

Required crochet terms:

• Magicring (MR)
• single crochet (sc)
• increase/to double stitches (inc)
• to crochet two stitches together/decrease stitches (dec)

Instructions:

If you want to make my animals bigger, just take a thicker yarn and a larger crochet-
hook.

At the end of each part you have to cut the thread, then let it always a little longer,
so you later can sew the parts together.

Crochet ears / legs / arms always the same day, despite the same yarn and hook,
because otherwise they may look different.

You can sew the parts together while the progress of work or finish first all the
parts and sew them together at the end – just do as you like ☺

Unless otherwise indicated, the single parts are crocheted in rounds, without a sl st
at the rounds end.

Tank - brown:

I started with a MR consisting of 6sc.

1. Round: inc*6 (= 12sc)

2. Round: (1sc, inc)*6 (= 18sc)

3. Round: (2sc, inc)*6 (= 24sc)

4. Round: (3sc, inc)*6 (= 30sc)

5. Round: (4sc, inc)*6 (= 36sc)

6. Round: (5sc, inc)*6 (= 42sc)

7.+8. Round: without inc or change (= 42sc/2 rounds)

Cut the Thread.

Belly - green:

I started with a MR consisting of 4sc.

1. Round: inc*6 (= 12sc)

2. Round: (1sc, inc)*6 (= 18sc)

3. Round: (2sc, inc)*6 (= 24sc)

4. Round: (3sc, inc)*6 (= 30sc)

5. Round: (4sc, inc)*6 (= 36sc)

6. Round: (5sc, inc)*6 (= 42sc)

7. Round: Crochet the tank and the belly together. (6sc, inc)*6, as you can see on
the following pictures (= 48sc)

10. Round: (1sc, dec)*6 (= 12sc)

Fix the eyes, stuff the head and close it by sewing or crocheting.

Legs (4x) – green:

I started with a MR consisting of 6sc.

1. Round: inc*6 (= 12sc)

2.-4. Round: without inc or change (= 12sc/3 rounds)

Do not stuff the feet. Close the legs by sewing or crocheting.

Tail – green:

I started with a MR consisting of 4sc.

1. Round: without inc or change (= 4sc)

2. Round: inc*4 (= 8sc)

Do not stuff the tail. Close the tail by sewing or crocheting.

Now sew all party together, as you can see on the following pictures. Fix the
keychains and by request you can attach the little “handmade” stud.
