Konjunktiv 2 Explanation

The Konjunktiv 2 Form (Using Umlaut Mostly) form is

used in German in three Different Categories .
They are divided as per the Conjugation of the Verbs
making it easier for the Distinguishment between the
Präteritum , Präsens Form and The Konjunktiv Form :

Category 1-
Präsens Form of Konjunktiv 2
Er wäre jetzt gern draußen (He would like to go
outside now)
Fußball spielen wäre schön (Playing Football would be
nice)
Eis essen wäre auch super (Eating Icecream would be
nice too)

Category 1 –
Wünsch /Traum
The sentences stated up stand in the Wünsch Category
too.
For Traum or Dream we talk about things we think or
dream of doing using if and in would –
Ich wäre so gern ein SuperHeld (I would like to be a
SuperHero)
Wenn ich ein SuperHeld wäre , würde ich nicht in die
Schule gehen (If I were a SuperHero I would not go to
School)
Ich würde fliegen und Menschen helfen (I would fly
and help people)

Category 2-Höffliche / Bitte Fragen

Was hätten Sie gern? (What would you like to have?)
Ich hätte gerne einen SchokoladeKaffee und ein EisBier
(I would like to have a -----)

Category 3 -Würden +Infinitiv

Er würde jetzt gerne spielen
Ich würde jetzt gern eine Banane essen

Category 4-Konditional Satz (Mit Wenn )

Wenn Andreas draußen wäre ,würde er Fußball spielen
Wenn Andreas draußen wäre ,würde er Eis essen
Wenn sie ein Bär wäre , würde sie im Wald leben
Wenn sie im Wald leben würde ,würde sie Honig und
Beeren essen

Category 5-ModalVerb +Infinitiv

Sie könnten wie ein Profi reiten (You can ride like a
Pro)
Sie müsste nicht in die Schule gehen (You must not go
to School)
Sie müsste nicht um 9 uhr ins Bett gehen (You must
not go to Bed at 9)

Category 6-Wenn +Perfekt +Konjunktiv 2 (HilfsVerb)

Wenn ich doch nur mehr gelernt hätte (If I just had
learnt more)
Wenn ich doch weniger gespielt hätte (If I just had
played less)
Wenn ich doch nicht jeden tag ins SchwimmBad
gegangen wäre (If I hadn’t gone to the SwimmingPool
each day)
