Pastor’s Corner - Praise From God!
==================================
Howʼs your week been? Have your days been fulfilling or draining? I have found that I get
more out of my weeks when I am being encouraged in what Iʼm doing. The tough weeks are
when I feel that everything and everyone is working against me. A pat on the back goes a long
ways in making my weeks good ones.
1 Corinthians 4:5 states that “each will receive their praise from God.” What a great thought
that God Himself would say to us “good job! Youʼve done great!”
Imagine having Jesus as your boss and at the start and finish of every day He would always
offer a word of praise or encouragement. This can be our reality. If fact, the Bible encourages
us to work with all our hearts as if we are working for God, not people (Colossians 3:23).
The key then would be in the question “Whom do we work for?” My employer would be the
Central California Conference. My bossʼ name is Ramiro Cano, but I work for God!
We need to start each workday asking for God to bless our work. We equally need to finish
our workday with our heads bowed at our desk, our jobsite, or wherever God has us to hear
praise from Him.
I look forward to the day when all my work here on earth is done and I hear the praise from
Jesus Himself, “Well done my good and faithful servant.”
Blessings,
Pastor Rob
