Dearest Family & Friends, November

09

Hope you are doing well and enjoying some early winter weather!
Guess what, I have exciting news to share with you! For one week
next summer, my church will be leading a team of people on a
missions trip to the Dream Center in Los Angeles, California. Our
exact dates are from August 1st – 9th, 2010. While there, we will be
working in several different intercity ministries like Hope For
Homeless Youth, MetroKidz (just like we do in Lynn every summer!),
Food Truck, Adopt-a-Block, bus ministry, foster care ministry, street
ministry, and even more. We will be helping the Dream Center build
relationships with people in the city. THE LADC uses those
relationships and influence to then spread the hope of Jesus Christ. Climbing “Picaya”,

down over 80%! We believe God can use these activities to provide
an opportunity for us to share our faith in Jesus Christ.

As many of you may know, I spent a week this past February in Guatemala working with
John & Dina Musacchio with their ministry to youth called “Impacto Juvenil”. That was my
second trip to Guatemala. I will never forget hearing one of our
Guatemalan friends say how grateful they were that our team
came from Calvary Christian Church to help them in Guatemala.
My life has never been the same since I ventured overseas on a
missions trip. Our God is a global God, and it’s our desire to help
others catch a heart for global missions. I’m excited about this
trip and excited to be apart of a generation that is willing to
get our “hands dirty” (literally on this trip!) working for the
Lord and help meet the needs, both physically and
spiritually, of a lost and dying world. I’m reminded that The
Bible says in James 1:27 “Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father
means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the
world corrupt you.” That is my mission for this trip, to serve the homeless,
loveless, and hopeless.

In order to take part in this trip I am raising $1,200, however, my first payment
for the trip is in January. Will you consider giving a single gift to help send
me to the LA Dream Center next summer? Simply detach the response slip below
and return it with your gift in the enclosed envelope. Because this is a special project,
you will receive a charitable receipt from Calvary Christian Church.

Thank you for your partnership and support. I know that God will do amazing things as a
result of your financial and prayer support. Speaking of, please be in prayer for myself
and the team from CCC… you’re prayers are most important and very much appreciated!
Can’t wait to see what God’s going to do through our group of young people in LA next
summer! We’re already starting to prepare now, so keep us in prayer! Thanks 
