Step Distribute

• Distribute all of your photos onto the album pages in a probable

order. Fill all pages and/or use all of the photos in your possession.
• Separate photos by themes, days and events. Get a feel for how the
pages will look. Remember, the number of photos per page is flexible
and does not need to be permanent at this stage.
• Add any memorabilia to the appropriate pages.

3
Power Layouts™

Step Crop

• Start again from the beginning and eliminate any photos that will
not fit. Put aside duplicate photographs to use later in children’s and
relatives’ albums.
• If you haven’t already, crop your photos and arrange them on
the page.
• Determine if your photos will need a two-page spread for
certain occasions.
• Insert additional refill pages for a new two-page spread next to the
first page and move the rest down.
4
Power Layouts™

Step Choose Enhancements

• Starting again at the first page, plan out any papers or enhancements for
the photos on your pages.

• Choose your paper and lay them out on the page with your photos
and memorabilia. Lay any sheets of ABC/123 Stickers, titles, Jumbo
Great Lengths™ Stickers or other stickers with the page.

Make sure you:

• Write down specific memorabilia that you will need to locate.
• Make a note or sketch of any page ideas you may have seen at a
previous Workshop.
• Make notes about journalling details.

5
Power Layouts™

Step Storage

• Stack your layout pages in order, with the last to go in your album
on the bottom and the first on top.

• Place this stack of pages in your Crop Box. Do not tilt the box; if
you are careful, your page layouts will remain intact. Remember, this
is not recommended for long-term page storage.

6
Power Layouts™

Step Mounting & Journalling

• Since you will mount your photos on both sides of the pages that
you are storing, you will end up with extra album page refills. Use
these extra pages in another album project.
• Simply mount and journal at your convenience.
• Power Layouts™ allows you to organise, pre-crop, pre-select and
enhance while making the best use of your time. Since the goal of
Power Layouts™ is to mount continuous two-page spreads, you will
want to make sure your pages are properly sequenced for
front-and-back mounting.
• Mounting in an assembled album can help ensure an accurate flow of
your pre-planned album pages.
