In this tutorial I'll show you how to use Animation Extender from ASP.NET AJAX Control Toolkit. With this extender you can add to your projects
various effects such as fading in and out, resizing, changing color fluently or moving specified elements on your web site. Animations are

played when an element, a button for example, rises event like OnClick.
With Animation Extender it's very easy to obtain interesting effects just by declaring xml animation markups, you don't have to write any
JavaScript code. You can also combine a few simple effects to create more sophisticated animation.
Step 1 - First of all you need AJAX Control Tollkit installed on your computer. If you don't have it yet you can find it in here:
http://www.asp.net/ajaxlibrary/act.ashx. There are clear instructions how to install it, so it won't be a problem.
Step 2 - After creating a new project you need to add reference to AJAX Control Toolkit. You can do so by adding following code to the top of
your aspx file.
<%@ Register <ajaxToolkit:Toolkit <asp:Panel <ajaxToolkit:Animati
assembly="AjaxContro ScriptManager ID="Panel1" onExtender
Then you need to add ToolkitScriptManager to your code. You have to do this within <form> tag.
Step 3 - Now you have to add a new Panel to your website. You can do this in Design Mode, dragging manually Panel Control from the
Toolbox. Then change color of your Panel - go to Propertis Window, select BackColor property and choose a color you like.
To add this Panel to your project you can just paste following code:
Step 4 - Applying animation effects to Panel. Underneath therea are 3 examples of animation effects. Fade out effect:
For next examples you can either repleace previous code for AnimationExtender with the new one or you can create new Panels
(remembering to change TargetControlID in AnimationExtender code). Resize effect:
<ajaxToolkit:Animati <ajaxToolkit:Animati
onExtender onExtender
Change of color:
