General Note

Your booking for a Germanwings flight contains the flight data valid at this point in time. Due to the capacity situation
at various European airports and because flights to destinations outside the European Union are subject to government
approval, slight deviations in departure times can occur. For this reason, we recommend that you re-check the validity
of flight times up to 24 hours prior to your scheduled departure time by referring to the flight schedule at our web site
www.germanwings.com. Seat reservation: You can reserve a seat even after you have bought your ticket. You can do so
up to 3 hours before departure via the call centre or at the airport desk. A seat reservation costs 6 EUR per passenger and
leg (on domestic German flights add VAT). If you reserve a seat after booking and pay with a credit card, we levy a reduced
credit card fee of 1.50 EUR (on domestic German flights add VAT). If you do not reserve a seat, you will automatically be
allocated one at no extra cost when you check in.

Check In

• Our check-in desks open 2 hours before each departure. The check-in desks close 30 minutes before departure.
Passengers who do not present themselves at check-in at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure of their
flight will not be allowed to proceed with checking in for their flight.

• All passengers including children must present a legally acceptable form of photo ID.
• Please note that in France and Spain children and adolescents under 18, who do not have their own passport, need
to provide a written parental authorisation to be able to leave their home country. The authorisation is an official form
that can be obtained from your local town hall or police station and must be filled out and signed by the parents.
When travelling to and from Croatia, children and adolescents under 18 (under 14 for Croatian nationals) who are
not travelling with an authorised carer, must have their own passport as well as the written authorisation of their
parents. The authorisation must be notarised. A notarised written parental authorisation is also required for children
under 12 travelling to and from Portugal.

• Every passenger may take one piece of hand baggage weighing up to 8 kg and with maximum dimensions of 55 x
40 x 20 cm on board. Larger and heavier items of baggage must be checked-in.

• Please note the new rules governing hand baggage on flights within the European Union which apply as of 06.11.2006.
You can read the new rules in full on www.germanwings.com as well as by consulting our General Conditions of Car-
riage.

• Registering luggage: for every piece of luggage checked in we charge a supplement of 8 EUR (on domestic German
flights add 19% VAT). If you only notify us that you will check in luggage at the airport, the supplement rises to 20
EUR per item of luggage. Please note that one piece of luggage cannot exceed 32 kg in weight. For more information
on Baggage go to www.germanwings.com or look in our general conditions of carriage. If you check in more than 20
kg of luggage per passenger, we will levy an additional fee.

 • Outsized or special baggage must always be notified in advance. You may us of your intention to take such outsized
or special baggage with you (e.g. golfing bags, ski equipment, surfboards, bicycles) either during your flight booking
on our website, by telephone via our call centre or at the Germanwings ticket counter upon payment of a fee. Please
note that if you intend to carry sporting weapons that it is only possible to notify us of this via our call centre. On
domestic german flights 19% VAT will also be charged on fees levied for the carriage of outsized or special baggage.

• Before boarding your flight, please be aware of any immigration requirements (visa or passport) which apply to your
destination.

• Germanwings shall not be liable for any items in your luggage such as medicines, documents, valuables, perishable,
fragile, optical or electronic articles, money, jewellery, business documents, keys, cheques and credit cards etc.

Tariff Restrictions

If you are unable to take the flight you have booked, it is possible to transfer your ticket to another person. Name changes
are possible on all Germanwings flights. Name changes can be made via the Germanwings Call Centre by quoting the
booking code no later than 24 hours before the start of the whole journey. There is a fee of e35 per person and booking
for a name change. If the current flight fare is higher than the fare paid at the time of the original booking, the difference in
fare must be paid. According to the fare class you have booked see below the terms and conditions as followed:

BASIC:

The fare indicated includes all taxes and charges. Once a booking has been made, changes can be made within the fare
bracket up to two hours before departure, where there is availability, on our website or via the Germanwings call centre
A rebooking fee of EUR 30 / GBP 27 / USD 43 / CHF 45 (per person and flight segment will be charged. (On domestic
German flights the rebooking fee is 35.70 EUR (including 19% VAT)). For rebooking by telephone we charge an extra
processing fee of 8 EUR per person and flight segment. (On domestic German flights this processing fee is 9.52 EUR
(including 19% VAT)). If the fare of the originally booked flight is no longer available, we will charge you the difference
between the original price and the price which is valid at the time of rebooking.

FLEX:

The indicated fare includes all taxes and charges. You can check in baggage weighing in total not more than 20 kg at the
desk without any additional charges. Changes to this booking can be made for free until 30 minutes before departure via
our website, at our airport ticket sales desk or via our call centre depending on availability. Cancellations can be made
until 30 minutes before departure via our call centre or at our airport ticket sales desk upon payment of a fee of EUR 25 /
GBP 22 / USD 36 / CHF 37 per person and flight segment. The flex plus ticket is valid for one year from date of booking.
Once this period has elapsed all entitlements which it confers upon the holder expire.

BEST:

The travel fare stated includes all taxes and fees. This fare bracket includes one item of checked luggage, free seat
reservation and a snack voucher worth 3.80 EUR. Changes to bookings can be made within the fare bracket up to two
hours before departure, where there is availability, on our website or via the Germanwings call centre. The fee for changing
a booking is 30 EUR per person and leg. (On domestic German flights the fee is 37.50 EUR (incl. 19% VAT).) We levy a
further flat-rate processing fee of 8 EUR per person and leg for changes made by phone. (On domestic German flights the
fee is 9.52 EUR (incl. 19% VAT).) If the originally booked flight fare is no longer available, the difference to the valid flight
fare at the time the change is made will be charged.

CORPORATE FLEX:

The indicated fare includes all taxes and charges. Changes to this booking can be made for free until 2 hours before
departure via our website, at our airport ticket sales desk or via our call centre depending on availability. Cancellations can
be made until 2 hours 30 minutes before departure via our call centre or at our airport ticket sales desk upon payment of
a fee of EUR 50 / GBP 35 / USD 74 / CHF 84 per person and flight segment. If the fare of the originally booked flight is
no longer available, we will charge you the difference between the original price and the price which is valid at the time of
rebooking.

• Reservations are person-specific. The names listed in the booking must be identical with the names in the passports.

• Changes to flight routes are not possible.

Turnover Tax Evidence

19% VAT is displayed as part of the price for domestic German flights and supplementary services (e.g. excess baggage,
changes to bookings). Invoices / confirmations of booking for international flights do not show the turnover tax in accordance
with Art. 26, Para. 3 UstG (German Turnover Tax Law).
If the booking was made with an AirPlus card, this does not entitle you to deduct input tax. The invoice from Lufthansa
AirPlus serves this purpose.
