drive. The Game Installer will run automatically upon inserting the GTI Racing CD

In case the installer does not run automatically (this might happen if the
'autorun' option is disabled), please run setup.exe file from GTI Racing CD 1. To
do this, click on the Start button, then Run and type X:\setup.exe (X standing for
the letter corresponding with the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive, usually it is D).

Racing group).

VI MULTIPLAYER INFORMATION

Q: I can't join Internet games and people can't join my Internet server.
A: Please check if after clicking on "update list" and "refresh list" button below
server list, you are able to join one of the existing GTI Racing MP servers.
A: You will need to check that your firewall (if you're using one) allows GTI
Racing access through it (please remember that Windows XP has built-in firewall).
Ports needed to be opened are from 28100 to 28150, although this can be set in the
server settings section of the game.
A: If you are using two network interfaces (i.e. one for LAN card and second as
modem for Internet connection) disable the one not responsible for Internet
connection in order to connect to master server and join Internet games.
A: Please remember that game version of both server and client must be the same in
order to accomplish connection. Green icon before server name tells you that you
will be able to connect to this server.
A: Please remember that server might be running maps you do not have - in this
case you will not be able to connect to that server.

Q: My multiplayer server is too slow when hosting a MP game.

A: General rule of thumb for hosting faster multiplayer games is that the better
the computer you are hosting it on, the better the game runs. Another alternative
for running faster multiplayer games is to use the dedicated server function
within the game. This allows you to host a game for others to play, but you are
not able to play on this machine, only host the game. Another thing restricting
speed of multiplayer games is the connection bandwidth you are using to play the
game, the faster the connection the better the game works.

Q: How can I run GTI Racing dedicated server?

A: Best way to create GTI Racing dedicated server is to run the game, choose
multiplayer game, setup all options (e.g. LAN or Internet server, maps/cars
available, etc.) and then exit the game and run it by clicking "Run GTI Racing
dedicated server" icon from Start menu (server will start with latest options).

Q: Can I sort Internet servers?

A: Yes - choose "servers filters" option to sort game servers, or click on "server
name", "IP", "map name", "latency", "players" to sort by these parameters.

VII SAVING THE REPLAY AS .AVI FILE

GTI Racing allows you to save your best replays as .avi files. Please click on
"Run GTI Racing with AVI support" shortcut in the Start menu to run the game with
saving replay as .avi files option (you will be able to choose codec first). After
finishing of the race icon save replay as .avi file becomes available in the
"replay" menu. Be aware that saving your replay as .avi file may take a while.

VIII GAME PERFORMACE

If the framerate of your game seems to be low, try lowering some of the video or
audio settings to solve the problem.
Make sure you have the latest video/audio/motherboard drivers installed on your
computer.
If you are noticing poor game performance in Multiplayer mode - please check if
using ghost cars instead of collisions mode will help improve the framerate. Make
sure that you closed all unnecessary programs running in background before running
the game. If you are using onboard sound card, please check if lowering sound
quality will help improve the framerate.
