Module Installation

First we must download the module. You can find the latest updates on our blog:

http://www.msociograma-safa.blogspot.com/

Then unzip the file "msociograma" in the path where Moodle stores the modules, that
in the case of Ubuntu is: /var/www/moodle/mod/

Initially we should have already created a Moodle Course. Currently, the name that we
have set is Msociograma. You could put another name, but you will have to take into account
later in the case you use .CSV file to create users in bulk, to name the correct group.
Then proceed to install the module. So we open the browser and log into moodle as
administrator: http://localhost/moodle/Admin

Having done this we must add a new activity to the course:

Once you create the activity, proceed to create users and groups to which they belong.
This application is currently adapted for 3 courses, meaning that groups can create will be
maximum 3, whose names must be at first (since it can be changed): "Grupo eso", "Grupo
primaria" and "Grupo bachiller". Users can be created by hand one by one, or through a file
.CSV as we have created us to upload a single file with all students, even already assigned to a
particular course. This file .CSV can be modified with a text editor, and also can download it
from our blog. As we mentioned earlier, if you used another name of course different from
"Msociograma" will need to modify on that file.

Here's how moodle is uploading the file .CSV:

And now after creating moodle students:

To verify that users are created correctly and were introduced into the correct groups,
we can see in the course on the tab "Grupos":

Once created users and assigned to each group, we have to login to the activity as
student to complete the form below:

Then we will be completing the form, taking into account the established order, that is:
Question 1, Question 2, Question 3. From Question 3, the order does not matter. When
answering the first 3 questions, so you only need the choice of a student and a "Por qué" for
each question, allowing the choice of 3 students too. We have put minimum 1 course to obtain
statistics for each student in these kinds of questions with answers.
We also have the possibility to show or hide the answers of the form by clicking the
check box top left “Ocultar respuestas”:

If you try to answer the first 3 questions in a different order established, a pop-up will
show you the error:

Once completed the form, you have to access as professor to see the results of the
students, and select the group you want from the combo group:
If you select the students tab, you can view the statistics of students who have been
voted in the first 3 questions with “Por qués”:

We can view the statistics of all students at once by pressing “Todos los alumnos”
boton:

Or you can view statistics for a particular student, selecting the combo "students" from
"Seleccionar alumno":
To view the values of aggression, victimization and prosocialización collected from the
students' answers on the forms, select the tab you want:

Aggression

Victimization

Prosocialización
Finally, if we view the graph of sociogram that reflects the relationship between
students of the class, we go to the "Sociograma" tab and select from the combo "Pregunta",
the question or answer you want to see the relationship:

Sociogram no background grid (values prosocialización)

Sociogram no background grid (values victimization)

Sogiograma with the background grid

To change the position of students in the graph, we select the questions or answers
from the combo "Pregunta", select the student to move from the combo "Mover alumno",
select the box number to where we want to move from the combo "Celda" and finally press
any button "Actualizar" for the changes to take effect. It is important that every time we make
another move, back to repeat the whole process, because for every move, the page makes an
update and the values of the combos return to its initial value.

And finally, depending on the number of responses you want to display by each
student, we will indicate from the combo "Respuesta" by selecting 1, 2 or 3. The reason for
increasing the number of responses, mean the lines on the graph relate to each student will
increase.
